LA Fonda Restaurant & Lounge, Los Angeles

Singers are super talented. They sang & played too long a set, out of touch with rythum of eating and getting properly waited on. Would have liked 2 sets instead of one overlong one. Food could be much better, didn't finish my meal & got heartburn. Servers not aware of making client happy, need polish. Never offered to refill my glass of water, never offered dessert or coffee. No kids menu but did make something up AFTER I asked. Not sensitive to the disabled people either!!Restroom up steep stairs & I'm just walking after a bad leg injury. Only a railing at one side. Not keeping up with the times!

I enjoyed this restaurant greatly. It is an amazing restaurant with live and beautiful music, i.e. if you appreciate the Mexican culture. I strongly recommend this place for a nice occasion like a romantic evening. This restaurant has a Mariachi, which proves to be a great show all while you enjoy your delicious Mexican food.

The musical talent alone should prompt the mariachi enthusiast to visit La Fonda. Los Camperos were one of 3 mariachis featured on a KPBS special in 2004. If you don't know how to speak Spanish, go anyway! The whole staff, waiters, dancers (Mexican folk dancers) and the musicians are all inviting and provide excellent service. Get there early to get parked and seated without the crowds.

I enjoyed the show and music. I like the two Mariachi groups and dancers that perform there. I like the food, but more options would be better.

Although the food is a little on the expensive side, the incredibly talented and spirited Mariachi and Mexican dancers give a stupendous show and make this restaurant a must see for toursits and locals alike. Anywhere else, you'd probably have to pay at least $50 for the show alone. Drinks are really good, especially the Cadillac Margaritas which are smooth and hit hard. So be sure to eat the carne asada or the chicken enchildas. Both are excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. Planning on going again tonight with my out of town guests who couldn't get enough. Good place to park is the parking lot next door.

It's an okay restaurant, not worth its prices. Food is okay nothing out of the ordinary, their menu is very limited and their service not the best. I truly expected it to be better than what it was. I am very dissapointed with that experience.

This is definitely the place to take someone you love or just that someone special in your life. Not only is the food excellent - but the energy brought by the Mariachi Los Camperos - is like no other. You definitely have to experience La Fonda - it is like a small piece of Mexico - where you can escape from the daily routines of life - for just a few hours. Don't forget to sing along with the Mariachi's - to some of Mexico's finest music!! Luis Suarez

You want authentic Mariachi? This is the place. You want delicious Mexican food? Find somewhere else. The food is a higher price than you would pay elsewhere, but you are getting a Mariachi show without a bad seat in the house. The service is average, I would expect more from a place that is trying to be top shelf. The Mariachi band is excellent - about an hour and a half of musica. As far as the food... you could do better in many places elsewhere in LA. Come enjoy the music, but do not expect top notch food or service.

THIS IS MY SECOND WEEK IN A ROW THAT I ATTEND LA FONDA TO SEE THE MARIACHI MONUMENTAL DE AMERICA.. OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE WAS TO SEE THE MARIACHI DIVAS WHICH WERE PHENOMENAL, BUT WE HAD A BLAST!
