I went with my friends from out of town, and enjoy everything the food was great. The service was fantastic the waiter a guy from NY practically ordered for us. He was right on the money for food, and drinks. My wife was so happy because we felt like he knew us, and really impressed our guests. Can't wait to go back

Well, had to see what all the hype was about...I was quite disappointed. I am in agreement with the previous review that the place is run down and overrated. For the prices, the food could have been much better. The enchiladas (chicken) were dry and not authentic at all (I am hispanic)...place is a bit run down and the service was OK. They made us feel as if we HAD to order or else leave. Overall, this place is highly over rated and I'll only be back if I read in these reviews that the food, ambiance and service has improved. I feel the place is only for celebrities who need to be seen to get work or work the cameras for their benefit; to the normal diner, we go there for the pleasure; this place needs improvement in that regard.

Restaurant looks worn. Very different than rustic. All the accolades on the walls are decades old. Service is very poor, almost reliant on years past of celebrity attendance. Not worth the time, money, or effort.

I visited my aunt and sister in Arizona (Phoenix area) this past summer. One weekend we had decided to go up to LA, so my aunt, sister, aunt's friend, and I all made a road trip up to LA. The first night we were there, My aunt and her friend decided they wanted to have a drink or two and had heard of this place. They wanted to just go, have a drink, and leave again, however, we were into the dinner hours so we hade to have and actual meal. So, we decided to have sit down and eat. We did not have reservations, however, they were able to seat us with no wait! It was about 4 o clock if I remeber right, and they place wasn't very busy, and it was nice to not have to wait. We sat down and the waitstaff was very polite. However, the food wasn't nearly as good as I had expected for the price. I though it was extremely expensive. Being from the midwest (Iowa) I am definitely not used to such outrageous prices. We did see one celeb on our way out, there easily could've been more, however, it was extremely crowded when we left. Overall, worth the expirience of see the famous place, however, only if it is within the budget.

I had a wonderful experience at the Ivy. The staff was very friendly & we had wonderful service. The lunch specials were a bit pricey($45 for lobster pasta). What do you expect, you're at the Ivy...you pay for the experience & the chance to see celebs! The chicken enchiladas were great. We were seated outside, so we could enjoy the sunny California weather & people watching. The Wayans brother's were also dining there, which made the experience all worth while. Great shopping at Kitson, right next door.
