I'm afraid to tell you how good this place is, I'm afraid it will get packed and more expensive. The soups are amazing, HUGE and $2.50. I've had the chicken noodle (like mom makes only with GIGANTIC hunks of chicken in it. The beef with meatballs is also delish. I've had the schnitzel, both pork and chicken, as well as the beef stew, which is tender and MAMMOTH and comes with mashed potatoes. The stuffed bell peppers are also perfect. Everything tastes like moms, if your mom was a great cook, otherwise it tastes better! Oh, did I mention the entrees are $5.75! For the price of a big mac you get an amazing plate of home cookin'!!!! Sabina appears to do all the cooking and her very sweet husband serves it up. Never rushed, super friendly. Actually, it's terrible, don't go (more for me)

Delicious. Great value. Friendly service. I went here with my family and I brought along a bottle of wine as there is no corkage fee. Great portion size. We actually shared our dishes family style and we ordered the chicken schnitzel which was amazing, the famous Mititei (Romanian bbq) the meat was so tender and had good flavor, and the stuffed bell peppers dish came with two huge stuffed peppers with the a nice sauce and mashed potatoes. Huge portion size! Delicious! Stuffed cabbage was really good as well. The chicken paprika w/dumplings and we also tried their house salad which was simple but tasty. The food was definitely 5 stars considering the price and portions. Service was very friendly but slow, but for us that was a plus as we weren't in any hurry and we stayed way past closing. I was pleasantly surprised that Sabina's husband didn't pressure us whatsoever to leave and was so friendly we were amazed. I'm coming back next week to try more of their dishes. Definitely get there early, before 6:45pm I'd say and don't be in a hurry if you decide to dine here. Our meal was served with a simple white bread and a huge plate of pickles. I ordered the crepes w/Nutella and they were fantastic! I'll try other flavors next time. Tasty yes, and at $1.75, again it was a great bargain. All our dishes were a mere $5.75 and Sabina's husband was very entertaining. He was so proud of his food and the reviews he's been getting (featured in the LA Times).
