El Compadre Restaurant
El Compadre Restaurant is perhaps best known as the home of the Flaming Margarita. This Sunset Strip restaurant is the perfect place to fill up on tasty traditional Mexican food before going out for a night of clubbing. Entrees such as the shrimp and crab enchilada combo platter are worth a try. If the rock 'n' roll scene isn't your style, stick around for the mariachis who play in the bar nightly. Check the website for details.
We were driving down Sunset Blvd and saw El Compadre and decided to give it a try. Our wait was less than ten minutes and their food was Five Star all the way. Needless to say, we ll be coming back every time we re in the area. Great Service!
I attend the echo park compadre since its opening the place is great. the food excellent the staff is great except for one bartender his name is Mario he will over charge so becareful with him. other then that again staff is great. try it out you will return. but watch for Mario the bartender.
Great food and wonderful service. Place gets packed. The trick to getting a table is to keep checking with the hostess. If you hang out in the bar they really don't make it a effort to find you or they think you left so they cross your name off the list. There is seating outside in the back there's usually no wait just sit and wait for waiter.
This is definitely my favorite restaurant in LA. I always go here for every birthday, friends birthday, graduation, whatever reason I can think of! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is energetic & fun. I've spotted a few celebs here before too.
El Compadre is my favorite Mex. food. I'm from San Diego and they have the best Mexican food. I can only eat here for my flautas. The other restaurants pale in comparison. El Cholo and coyote are like the Dennys of Mexican compared to this place.
The food is way better than El Cholo! But come for the flaming margaritas-they are wonderful! The live mariachi gives the place the perfect touch! My mom & aunts use to come here with their friends to hang out and now I bring my friends and cousins here to have a great dinner & great drinks! The wait staff are the best! I will continue to visit!
I have been a patron of El Compadre for a couple years. The food is miles ahead of El Cholo and so is the service. You will never go wrong with the shrimp plates. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and great service.
Open since 1919, this classic restaurant was long the bastion of Hollywood industry power dining. With the look and feel
of a private men's club, it rose to fame in the Golden Years of Hollywood, when Irving Thalberg, Clark ...
The huge crowd sipping margaritas in the bar is the first clue as to the popularity of this Mexican cantina.
The entire restaurant rolls with an upbeat, almost silly atmosphere. The wait on a Friday night can be anywhere ...
Here you will find young actors, hipsters and other famous folks. The restaurant features comfortable booths and simple American food.
The meatloaf is a favorite, and hard pressed to be beaten anywhere in town. Don't look for anything too ...
