Located in the city of angels, one would invariably find a lot of Hollywood hopefuls hanging out at The Griddle Cafe. It offers a scrumptious array of American style breakfast and brunch items, such as Caballero, La Vida Loca burger, blueberry filled flapjacks, Griddlewich, and many more. Lunch services also available. Low rates ensure that eating here would not bore a hole in the wallet. In addition, you won't have to worry about the car being towed away, the cafe offers ample parking space.
The Food is okay, they are most know for the pancakes. Prepare to wait at Least 30 minutes to be seated litteraly elbow to elbow. Parking Sucks, You can bring your dog though, that's pretty cool. Average person cost $20.00
The food is always awesome here! I especially go for the Papas Benedict... and their Bloody Mary's help make breakfast a easy favorite here! It's always packed though, so be prepared to wait to be seated, up to 45 min. on weekends.
Amazing!! food was great! fast and friendly service! Must have the thick bacon and crazy big pancakes!! also, if you get toast, you get a mini glass jar of knotts jam... little things like that make this place that much better... prepare to wait to be seated, but well worth the wait!
My husband got a blt with shrimp and avocado. I thought my sandwich was amazing until I tasted his. THe pancakes are wonderful as well but it doesnt make sense to order a stack of them. Even if you just buy one it's still big enough to share with someone. The eggs benedict is served on deep fried potato skin instead of english muffins, I loved it. I take my kids there and they love the pancakes as soon as they lay eyes on them they just light up. They are known for their pancakes but I almost always order a sandwich now, they're really good. Oh yeah their coffee really raised the bar too.
The Griddle Cafe is a true experience. The food is always fantastic and the pancakes are mind boggling. Here is a hint, they don't tell you this on the menu but you can order just one of these giant sized pancakes rather than a huge stack of three. They are so big, there larger than the plates. The bacon is absolutely the best and the servers are always attractive, friendly and efficient. Alex the host is a great guy and does a famtastic job in orchestrating the crowds. Be prepared to wait over an hour for a seat on weekend mornings. You can beat the lines if you get there by 9:00am. They serve their own brew of French pressed coffee and wonderful fresh, orange juice. Prices are reasonable and there are always random movie stars or musicians here. Lot's of fun, a younger crowd but I am 45 and enjoy this place very much. Don't miss it.
They close at 3:00pm!
Well first of all you must be hungry and prepared to eat breakfast, they have the biggest pancakes you can getfor the price which is very affordable, and for coffee lovers you got to try the french press. Nothing better than having your own pot right beside you, another must is their bacon, sliced thick and cooked just like they should, and bets service in town, we need more places like these, Great job guys. George.
Pros:Original entrees and humongous portions set in a posh atmosphere with a casual twist! Indicative of the L.A. scene. Excellent for the price.
Cons: Get a booth if you can. The tables are smaller than tiny.
The menu is the most creative there is. The food tastes even better than it sound and their coffee is beyond amazing.
A must try for locals and out of towners. The only problem if you live many miles away is that you will have intense cravings for The Griddle. It is worth it though. Get the Mom's French Toast, Poached Y Papa's Benedict...everything is great but those are my favorites
I am business traveler and seem my share of breakfast resturants. Your cafe value and great service great can not be beat.
I ate there this past Saturday around 1pm. The place was pack, their a few rude customer how kept hounding your host, but that did not seem to bother him. He greet me and mother with a big smile, said avg wait time would be twenty mintues give or take.
I was with my aging mother(79 yrs)with a walker and he ran to back grab her sit and ask her if she was comfortable and even ofter us the next possible sit.
When he sat us down not only did he remember our names, but dutiful escort my mother to her sit. I am not sure if he was the owner, but thank you for your kindness and hospitality
The huge crowd sipping margaritas in the bar is the first clue as to the popularity of this Mexican cantina.
The entire restaurant rolls with an upbeat, almost silly atmosphere. The wait on a Friday night can be anywhere ...

The meatloaf is a favorite, and hard pressed to be beaten anywhere in town. Don't look for anything too ...
