Tart Restaurant, Los Angeles

We stayed at the Farmer's Daughter because it was relatively close the the LA County Museum of Art and very close to the LA County Farmer's Market. Our room was cute and comfortable. The price was more than reasonable. The staff was always polite and helpful. Next time I go to LA, I will definitely stay at the Farmer's Daughter again.

Thinking our trip to LA would be expensive, but high-class, we were more than a little surprised with Farmer's Daughter. The cost was great...but FD was anything but high-class. It was homey and comfortable with great service. Our only complaint was that the elevator smelled horrible. We had to hold our noses each time we made the trip to the third floor.

Hotel desk was always helpful. The room was better than many high end hotels, other than the bathtub. The tub appeared to have been re-coated but the coating was pealing off. The sink faucet was an old fashioned valve that let the water flow out from a trough. Hardwood floors, decorative ceilings, a dvd player, and denim bed spreads were all pleasant surprises. The hotel is a hidden gem. We were in L.A. to see the King Tut museum. We could walk to it from the hotel (about 1 mile). And we could go shopping at the Grove shopping center and Farmers Market right across the street.

We chose this hotel because we were going to The Price Is Right. We loved it! The location was very convenient. The staff was very friendly! The rooms were clean and very affordable. This hotel was very unique and worth every penny. The Tart restaurant had a great breakfast. You'll have to try the omlets. They are definitely large enough for 2 to share.

My family and I were there in September, 2005 and were welcomed by friendly, attentive , personable staff who made us feel like neighbors. The room was very comfortable and reasonably priced. We were given inside tips on attrations to see and discounts on transportation. We enjoyed it so much, we have reservations to go back in October. We felt very safe there and can't wait to return and continue our friendships with the employees.

The location is excellent. The Farmer's Market is right across the street. Plenty of places to eat and shop. I think we only used our car once. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. Would stay here again.

The location is great! Just across the Grove and a 5 min drive from Rodeo, this is a shopping addict's dream location. The rooms are unique and cute although a little small. I don't like staying on the 1st floor anywhere in general and I think that is true for here as well since the hotel neighbors a major street and sunlight may be limited.

Clean, friendly, and well-priced. It's stylish yet warm, and the location is spot on - easy walk to Melrose and the Farmer's Market. Staff were kind enough to check our bags for us both before we checked in and after we checked out. Be warned, though - don't expect to spend your day by the pool, as it's really little more than a puddle in the middle of the patio with only one beach chair. Doesn't matter, though - given the location and the plethora of comfy chairs to be had on the patio itself, you won't really miss it much.
