I've had pizza there and it's OK. at best. I wouldn't ad any superlatives. By the way, how much do you have to pay to get on the top 10 Pizzeria list? Or this is someones job and they picked the first ten they found. No... Palermo is definately not the best pizza in LA. By far.

All hype
By ,
Yes the setting is fun a great place to come with a group of friends and enjoy a bottle of wine, but seriously the food is mediocre. Pasta tastes like it was made with Ragu.

Good food, but a bit trendified
By ,
Ok, the parking's a nightmare, it's usually crowded with Los Feliz trendoids and there's usually a wait, and can be noisy and uncomfortable. Service can be hit or miss- sometimes great, sometimes not (but usually always friendly). Still, I like the food. The pizza's a little thicker crusted than most, but it's light and a bit fluffy. The cheese is liberally applied. It's a little overrated, but it's still good. I also like the meat ravioli, the pasta's a bit soft but the sauce and filling taste good. Their homemade Italian salad dressing is uniquely delicious and worth buying a bottle of. Avoid evenings (especially friday and saturday nights) and it's more relaxed. They're closed tuesdays.

Pizza is ok but over rated
By ,
The pizza is Ok however I feel it is over rated. The service was TERRIBLE. It took us 20 minutes to be greeted at our table. Someone who was sat long after us were greeted and order taken before the server acknowledged us. A better pizza is at il Capriiccio on Vermont. Much better pasta and of course the best service in town!!

My husband and I ate here at least once a month while we lived in LA for seven years. Their pizza is the best!

Excellent Pizza
By ,
I absolutely love Palermo's pizza. I'm not too crazy about their tomato sauce, but they have good cream sauces and great wine. Fun atmosphere - great for big groups.

Absolutely Atrocious
By ,
Considering all the fantastic review left, I expected something akin to an actual top notch dining experience. Sadly, I was deeply mistaken. The decor was like something out a child's restaurant, the Christmas lights rimming the walls doing nothing. The food was even worse: rubbery chicken ravioli, tasteless and running marinara sauce that Chef Boyardee wouldn't dare use and the garlic bread as dry and flavorless as a day-old cracker. And the wine...fermented. As in not chilled and destroyed by a lack of refrigeration. Unconscionable. To say the least, I will never set foot in the place again. The only plus is that the service was relatively quick. Then again, who wants to be served Z-rate food? If I could give it zero stars, I would.

FOOD = GARBAGE ******TOTAL RIPOFF******
By ,
This is the worst Italian food that I have ever had. The pasta was like soup and the fish looked like it was served on a plate of garbage. Anyone that likes this food obviously has no taste what so ever, and has never had any decent food. Beware of this restaurant...it's a total ripoff.
