Roscoe's Chicken, Hollywood

My son talked me into going to Roscoe's during our 2 day visit to L.A; I guess he gets his best restaurant recommendations from Snoop Dog on TV. I brought him since it seemed pretty important to him; I was happy I did. We both ordered the 1/4 chicken and waffles. The waffles were good, although I think it's hard to screw up waffles. The chicken was the best I have had. It was fried perfectly, not greasy at all though. We went at 10:30 on a Sunday morning and had no problems getting in although just 30 minutes later there was a huge crowd outside; try to go early! Overall it was a great meal, I wish there were locations in Washington.

I've been about 3 times and each time I expected the food to get better. The only thing that was good was the waffles. I've had the chicken omelette - blegh, even with hot sauce thrown all over it. The workers were incredibly nice and it was easy to get a table all times (breakfast on a Sunday, late dinners).

i hated it, it was one of the worst places i have ever been to. I believe that me(aubri carter) and emily brown, are NEVER i mean NEVER coming back EVER again. This place should be ashamed of its self. We walked out as soon as possible. I dont even think that we finished our meals, so we drove along the rode, and found the best place EVERRR!!. its name is TACO BELL! i recomend that so much more than this smelly dump. You know when you're going there that you'll be having chicken and waffles, but who would have thought both would we so delicious individually or together?!? Crazy good from the vanilla and cinnamon flavor of the waffle to the crunchy, juicy perfection of the chicken!

it was 4 of us saturday afternoon. we were seated right away. the service was very friendly & welcoming. the chicken was delicious, juicy & tender. the fries were long & yummy. of course the waffles were also scumptious. total about $55 but it was worth it. i look forward to going back & having the same delightful experience.

Never been to a place that served chicken and waffles on the same plate, but I can't wait to go back. Their waffles and chicken are delicious and above the rest. Not sure why . .. just have to experience it for yourself.

It was a little pricey and not all that great. Geez from the reviews you see on here youd think it would be second to none. But it is second to KFC. The chicken was a little overcooked. KFC is always moist and the batter has a better flavor. I don't get what all the hype is about. The side dish portions are a little small also. I feel at least I tried it and if I do go back someday it might be in ten years.

I go to Roscoe's every time I'm in LA. I usually don't even get a waffle. The fried chicken is JUICY and delicious. But it's the red beans & rice that are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Order a side of greens & dump them into the beans & rice, then add a dash of Tobasco, salt & pepper to taste, and ENJOY! Put some honey on a piece of corn bread, then heap a forkfull of the beans/rice/greens on it, and your mouth will love you forever. The hand-cut french fries are greasy and delicious, just as a good plate of fries should be. Roscoe's rocks.
