LA Cabana Restaurant, Los Angeles

If you want a fun and unique Mexican experience, you can't do much better than La Cabana. The atmosphere is festive, from the dimly lit interior to the colorful back patio. Some nights even have a wandering Mariachi band. The service is always quick and the waiters are friendly. The margaritas may not be the strongest, but they are very tasty, especially the specialties of the house - like the one where they mix a little strawberry into a regular margarita. The prices are fair and the food is great. I particularly love the spinach and shrimp quesadilla. The only drawback to this place is that their salsa is not the best. It's the hot, watery kind instead of the milder, chunky kind that I prefer. But overall this is a fun place and I go there all the time.
