Really GOOD food! I love the salmon and the steak with their special sauce on it. I like the atmosphere inside the restaurant and I've been back as a regular to have drinks with some girl friends. The drinks are also very good and not stingy with the alcohol!
This place was sketchy really shady people. Food was good but the people are shady try to overcharged for many items will not eat there again. Not a place that brings loyal customers. Good luck crooks.
On 3/22/09, my wife and I were chased to our car, with the waitress not being able to find our cash payment. Both the nearby bartender and bus boy denied having picked it up. Upon asking to review the pre-recorded video, this bartender and bus boy subtly and promptly changed their answer to the waitress, revealing that they indeed had picked up the cash payment.
Translation: our cash payment was being stolen by the conspiring bartender and bus boy. . . stay away from this place!!!!!!
Don't know how authentic the food is, but my favorite dishes are the curry mango chicken comes with sides of black beans, mashed potato and plantains. Great BBQ salad (grilled vegetables) with chicken and the grilled vegetable soup is fabulous. I can't vouch for anything else cuz' I always get the same dishes! Very friendly service, nice place though the valet parking is kinda lame. Just park in the back entering from Westwood instead of Venice.
Everything is perfect about the place!
The food is delicious. Really. Tasty and fresh. The dishes are so well presented and served.
The service is impeccable. The waiters are professional, courteous and helpful.
The decor is stylish, yet warm and enchanting.
The music makes you feel at ease. It is not loud but just enough to make you appreciate it and you can still have a conversation with your date or your friends. Romantic and friendly at the same time.
Either you seat inside or outside you will love the ambience and atmosphere of the place.
You'll find everything you're looking for at Bamboo and then some!
Try their Red Bird: Cranberry-Lime-Orange juice and their Tarte Tatin. Choose any entree, you can never go wrong.
Went to Bamboo for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and the meal was wonderful. I had the mango-chicken and each bite was an explosion of taste and textures. The sauce was a mild curry, and that combined with the sweet, soft mango and the firm texture of the chicken was wonderful.
My husband had the paella and although messy to eat (there is no way to eat crab legs without getting right in there!) he enjoyed it, also.
Our only mistake was in the wine - we ordered a red when a white would have suited our entrees better.
The staff is friendly and efficient.
I will definitely return to try other food choices - the roasted vegetable soup sounded intriguing.
They also really know how to do fried plantains - plenty of butter...fried dark brown and chewy, just the way I like them.
