Get your food to go!
First read about this restaurant off another website from 3 Cubans that go around looking for the best Cuban food. They had a very high rating for it, in fact, the best for Southern California. After visiting the restaurant i was very please with their food. It is extremely traditional and authentic. If your blood type is non cuban and are used to commercialized cuban restaurants around this area, it might take a bit of effort to get used to this. No real ambiance just about 8 tables, with some old chairs, no alcohol so do what i do, get your food to go. Portions are good (i'm a big eater). For whatever reason main dishes are by days, example, if you want a good Lechon Asado, i think thats Thursdays, Arros con Pollo on Tuesday's etc. But man, its as close as it can get to when i lived at Mom & Pop's. The area where it's at is not great, nor is there anything to do around these parts of town. My self and people i've introduce this to, agree that durring winter hours (dark early) its best just to drive up and pick up dinner to take home.
