The best sizzling rice soup in the United States, without a doubt. Not a fancy place, but it has wonderful, wonderful Chinese food from Cantonese to Szechwan. I live about a mile away and go there regularly. In fact, if a friend wants to go out for Chinese, I INSIST that we go to Hu's and every time, I've made a convert.
I have been going to Hu's for over 10 years and have had good food most of the time. They give you a lot of food for your money. Ask to get all your dishes at the same time or they may come out very staggered and not in the order you want. I like the #201 Schezwan Shrimp and the Sour Chicken in Garlic sauce and the Green beans are great too.
You feel at ease in the relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very nice and yes always smiling so the service is great.
The food is good (delicious eggrolls) but I was disappointed with the fried rice. I love rice and don't like it overcooked and it was the case twice so I guess that's how they cook their rice.
