Food and service was exceptional, the family atmosphere makes anyone feel at home.

Talk about a hole in the wall. This place looks like it would have authentic Mexican food, and it does. I just hope they don't use manteca!

It's a family owned, family operated authentic Mexican restaurant. The ambiance is great, with music playing while you eat. It's a very warm place. They make you feel like your right at home. La Chispa De Oro serves everything from Tacos, Sopas, Burritos, Enciladas, Carne Asada, Quesadillas, Taquitos and much more.The combination plates are served with their mouth watering refried beans, spanish rice and hand made tortillas. There tortillas are made fresh for every order. Once you eat one you'll want more. I recommend everyone stop by to taste the Best Mexican food Ever Made. *Un poco de Michoacan en Los Angeles!*

My mother, may she RIP, was probably one of the most meticulous and excellent cooks and there was always one place she loved to go have Mexican food.... Chispa de Oro - she used to say it like it was a taboo word and it made her giddy. I'd never seen my mother like that but realized the food was so good and consistently so that it met her very high standards - and to tell you the truth, it's probably the best Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles - if more people wrote reviews it would pan out and yes, it's literally a whole in the wall - feels like you're in your mom's kitchen and considering how much she loved it - it feels like she cooked the meal for me when I go there - sentimentality aside, the food is that good. Finding parking is possible but sometimes annoying and yet you'll be rewarded and that's incentive enough for me to do it as much as I can. Best place....mom said so
