Cicada is a masterful combination of art deco style and contemporary cuisine. The food is the star and the restaurant is the cinema. From the 30-foot gold leaf ceiling to the plush custom-designed bar and lounge, Cicada has combined 1920s Art Deco with contemporary design elements to create an extraordinary atmosphere. The European style is further complemented by a sophisticated Northern Italian and California fusion menu. 15,000 square feet--ideal for weddings, special events, and private parties.

Absolutely loved the place, I went my my significant other for our aniversary, It was the perfect place. the food is marvelous, the ambience is overwhelming, the people were just absolutely great! The band that played that night was just awesome. Definately recommended and will be a returning customer. Thumbs UP! P.S. This place is like a time machine during thursday nights I believe.

I love this restaurant. Service is excellent and food is great. I love the atmosphere and the decor. It's a hidden treasure in downtown la. For a wonderful experience and ambiance this restaruant is an excellent choice...

My favorite restaurant OF ALL TIME :) wonderful service, beautiful ambience and best of all the food is amazing. Last time I tried the filet mignon with foie gras. It WAS delicious :) Try it, you'll definitely like it ;)

The decor is beautiful. You can see there's lots of history in it. The food was just average. It's good to go at least once to say you've been there. Service was great.

Cicada-licious

The service and atmosphere were exceptional. We were properly greeted and seated immediately. The food was superb, especially the duck ravioli. I would strongly recommend Cicada to anyone and will return every opportunity that arises.

Nice Ambiance, Poor Service

We had our holiday party at Cicada (16 people). This restaurant was recommended by a friend. I selected the location because it was close for everyone on my sales team. The decor of the restaurant was nice to very nice. The food quality was adequate for an upscale restaurant. The service was terrible and I left the restaurant 3-4 hours later and embarassed that I took my team there. There are a lot of homeless panhandlers circling the outside of the restaurant and my group was appraoched multiple times.
