The Palms in downtown Los Angeles was the place where I Celebrated my birthday with family. The service was excellent and done with a smile, great suggestions and knowledge of the food served. everyone enjoyed their food order. The best clam chowder, lobster bisque....We had the crab cakes, chicken. Parmigiana, a lot of different salads, steak.shrimp. it was all excellently seasoned and cooked. I liked the decor...the Ambience....it was my pleasure...the cheese cake and key lime pie ,delicious I will be going there again..
Too expensive for what you get. Gnats landed on 1 of the wine glasses and the side of potatoes. Then 1 of my friends got food poisoning and spent the rest of the night sick and then the next day in urgent care dealing with it. Won't Recommend.
the palm it sould be the hype.we started with the shrimp cocktail 4 nice size shrimp with no flavor for 17.50,what happen to the 6 shrimp cocktail.then after that we finally got our 2 glasses of wine.i got the 3 pound lobster and it was good but by far not enough, less than one pound of meat.my women got the king crab legs, now these where a joke at almost 40.00 bucks 4 pcs. 2 knuckels and 2 small sections from mixed leg section.just thrown on the plate.it was so small amount we where like shocked at how small and the no reguard to plateing at all.we also got the garlic and olive oil asparagus at 11.00,they dont peel theres and thats a must if you have any clue at all,3 cloves of garlic and not what i can tell olive oil.but the bread was good.we will never in our life go to this shi- hole again what a rip off at 175.00.the service was like oh look theres someone here i dont know.and the only time he was nice is after i paid and said thank you.there liveing off what was once a good place but now ill save my money and eat at 100s off better and less costly places.ed
If their claim to fame was the steak, then I cannot imagine what the rest of the menu must taste like. The steak was overcooked at best and was not in the same category as Ruth Chris or Morton, which are marginal at best.
