Description

The young and hip have made this attractive spot one of the best places for dinner on the East Side. At the Cha Cha Cha, the Jamaican Jerk Chicken transports you directly to the islands. Try the Fried Plantain Chips, that are simply delicious. Choose either the indoor room or the patio, as the great music makes you sway the entire night.

I first visted this restaurant with my brother Richmond, this past weekend. We had Sunday breakfast their and OMG:) the bread was so damn good, not only the bread but the food as well. I knew the food would defintely be great, because my brother Rich would never take me to a restaurant that's not good. I live in the bay area, now I must find out if your located out here lol:)!!

The place is okay, I didn't like the food for the reason that it was too sweet, if you're into sweet food this is a place for you. Prices are a little high, but for the one that is high roller this shouldn't be a problem...

Cool Eatings Mon...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/07
I was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Caribbean location. The patio's decor is just as inviting and warm as awesome service you'll expect. Prepare to be transported immediately off the busy street and into a world where everything is just cool. I had the Jerk Tostada's and it didn't disappoint. If your in the Santa Monica Pier area, don't settle for the overly priced restaurants that are located closer to the water. The pricing is reasonable and if you love a good drink, the Ting is amazing as always. Definitely will be coming back and I'm sure you'll feel the same. Peace...

When I first visited this restaurant, I was alarmed by the garish colors and overly-full miscroscopic parking lot. I was, however, entranced by the unusual decor and lively music the moment I stepped inside. The wait at this often-crowded restaurant can be eliminated by making reservations. They are good about actually waiting for you...just call them! AND THE FOOD! One word: YUM. I cannot gush enough about it. If their food is not authentic, Caribbeans should take a cue from this restaurant and make their fare taste as heavenly as Cha Cha Cha's. The parking lot issue can be solved by parking on Melrose. I love this place! I have been to their West Hollywood location and prefer the original.

...NEVER AGAIN FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION
By Fo, 4/2/07
My date and I had dinner at the cha cha cha for Valentines Day, I thought I was going to be great, but instead it was a BIG disappointment, the service was awful. First the waiter (not the guy serving the food but the guy taking the order, for some reason one guy was taking the order and someone else brought it over anyhow, that guy was rude and unfriendly, it was as he was making me a big favor taking my order. I play it cool because I didn’t want to ruin my date. Food took a very long time, which I guess it was ok because it was a busy day, which by the way the patio wasn’t full. When the food arrived it was warm, but giving it was 60 degrees out side in the patio the food got cold pretty quick, and for some reason the patio heaters where off!! The food choices for that day weren’t that great either. I’m a big fan of eating all kinds of food, but I must say the quesadilla with goat cheese and guava was terrible, I don’t know if it was the food it self or maybe it tasted different when it got cold. Also the prices where a bit too high for the food, as one of the review posted here said “we left hungry and about 120 dollars poor” BTW no bar, beer and wine only I rather take my business to a good Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican or Perubian restaurant.Never again for a special occasion. One thing we did enjoy a lot it was the ambiance, it was well decorated and candle lid, nice touch

love it!
By Peggy, 3/20/07
I had Cha Cha Cha's for the first time tonight.. it was great! I LOVED the delicious jerk chicken and mango chicken. The flavors were unique and the portions were pretty big! After reading some of the reviews, I could see that a such a popular place like this would have a few service issues, especially during peak hours where it is very crowded. I'm not saying that it is an excuse for it, but believable since alot of places are the same. I'd definetely avoid it on weekends. I guess it was a very good thing that we went at 9:30pm on a Monday night - our service was great!
