me and my brother both in our 50s went there first time ever. i do not mind prices at all if the food is good and the service is good. well i can tell you this we will be back there again. i had the rib and chicken comb and he had the chicken meal. we both where very surprised at the big portion they served. almost to much but very very good. yea pricey but for what you get well worth it.

My wife and I stayed overnight in Carson City during Memorial Weekend. On Saturday night after a day in Virginia City, We had dinner at Old Red's. She ordered a pizza. I had a brisket and rib combo. I was full after the beans and very tasty cornbread. They place everything on top of a bed of cruchy onions. By the way move eveything aside to devour those first! The brisket was so tender, I could flake it apart with my fork. I ate 2 ribs and had to take the rest home. Go there with a serious appetite if you order a combo meal. My wife said the pizza was good. Looked like about a 9" size personal pizza with a thick crust. If she said it was good, I'd believe her, a very picky eater. The atmostphere was was on the busy/hecktic side due to a long weekend and a Saturday evening. The service was still quick and friendly. I would drive the 140 miles just to eat there again.

The place is decorated cute. The service has always been good. The steaks are always good, and cooked the way you like them.

Summer Night in Carson - Head for Red's 1 of 2 for food .8 service 1 atmosphere 1 Cleanliness Food is decent. Ate here three evenings in one week, half due to relatively quiet, very pleasant outdoor setting. Good place to socialize. Sports bar. One night I had veggy fajitas. They were good. Another I had the explosion salad. It was good. I also had BBQ brisket. I began my reviews with one on Mr. B's BBQ. That is delicious BBQ. Red could improve his or her BBQ, at least the brisket - a lot. Brisket is a lesser part of the bovine but can be tamed. Mine was headed for jerky land. And I had to ask for extra sauce to be brought to the table. There is St. Louis style BBQ and there is St. Louis STYLE BBQ. You decide which Red's serves.

The place is soso. They took out all but one of the Joshua Trees in front. The last time we went (about two years ago) we got our meals in less then 5 minutes. That was a turn off. The menu is rather limited. We prefer Q's or Cattlemans now Washoe Flats.

Inconsistant to say the least. We've taken guests , and the meal was just so-so, and gone back and found food very good, but way to much for a senior, but doggy bags work, and are offered. Nice and fun atmosphere (funky) and staff is friendly and neat in appearance. I'm sure we'll go back.

What a great place 50 beers on tap and another 50 in bottles. Large very tastey portions. everyone from the hostess, to the server, to the bartender, very friendly. What great deco. I will return everytime I am in towne. Next time when it's warmer so I can sit in the patio.

This place has a charming atmosphere full of antiques and collectibles. The food is pretty good-similar menu to Chili's. If you're visiting Carson City, this is a good place to eat. Good service and style.
