Thurman's Ranch House, Carson City

Excellent Steak, very poor service. Had to ask several times just to get a refill on my drink and some of the food we got was cold. The waitress was absent minded and took plates away before we were done.

I have eaten at Thurmans Ranch House for over ten years and have aways enjoyed the experience the meals are large portions, flavorfull, served with a smile and not hard on my wallet

We've eaten here once last year to try it out. Lots of food. These folks know how to eat! One plate could probably feed two easily. Bring your appetite to this eatery! Service was good. Food was good. Overall experience was good. 4 out of 5.

Thurmans serves high quality entrees and side dishes served family style. Yes, it costs more for dinner at Thurmans than Denny's or Ihops. The reviewer who claimed her meal consisted of soup and salad only, must not have ordered an entree. We often take out-of-town friends and family to Thurmans. These same friends and family request return visits to Thurmans. Even our pickiest eaters enjoy Thurmans food. The pork ribs, lamb chops, and shrimp pasta are highly recommended.

I've seen a few reviews calling this restaurant overpriced but you must consider that you get soup AND salad, entree with 3 sides (all you can eat sides and soup), wine AND dessert for one price-the most expensive entree is less than $30.00 for all this food and the food is great. If you think this is expensive you should probably eat at burger king when you want to go out for dinner!!!!

Really really really overpriced. food is sub par, slow "absent-minded" service. Never again.

SKIP THURMAN IS A GREAT BUSINESSMAN. BARTENDER, AND HOST ...HIS FOOD IS FIRST RATE AND SO IS THE ATMOSPHERE... YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED...

They have very yummy split pea soup, if your looking for a feast go here there food is amazing and the them of the restrant is very fun it all just makes you happy. I loved eating here, i highly reccomend it. and I am a pickey eater. Oh yeah if anything is spelled wrong I am sorry I am pretty yong Im in middle school. 2008. Thank you for not judging me.

First time there, and will go back more. Great family dining, and reminds me of eating on the ranch. Lotsa food (had to take some home), and the staff excels. Plus, you get a free glass of wine to start with! Try it, and you'll go back, I promise..

They have only mediocre food and very over priced!!!!
