Lone Eagle Grille, Incline Village

This restaurant is definitely a 5 star experience from the food to the ambience ... and you pay for it. For special occasions, I find the entire experience worth the price, otherwise we would go broke if we dined there often. I had the French Onion Soup and the Buffalo Tenderloin and both were fantastic. My wife had the Prime Rib and Walnut Tart and raved about both.

I went here last night. I got a filet mingon, and it was terrible!! On the bright side, our server was being very kind and trying their hardest. If you're looking for a restaurant with a nice view, that's romantic go here. But dont order the filet. I hope you find this helpful

We have dined at the Lone Eagle Grill a couple of times and have found disappointment. As your reviews indicate the food is quite good; however, customers should never be made feel like it is a privilege to be in the presence of any dining establishment. There are just too many other good alternatives available. For starters, it is almost required that one use valet parking at the Lone Eagle Grill, which is not a big issue personally, but some customers may find that somewhat imposing. What I do find highly objectionable though, and arrogant, is their no corkage policy. A competitive corkage charge is perfectly acceptable; however, the policy at the Lone Eagle Grill is specifically geared towards obligating customers to purchase three to five year old $20.00 bottles of California wines at prices of $100.00 to $150.00 per bottle. There are few, if any, international wines available on their menu, and certainly nothing that compares to the twelve to fifteen year old international wines which I prefer to bring to the table. On our last and final visit to the Lone Eagle Grill a couple of days ago, I had a glass of water with dinner. Had it not been for my concern of family and guests, we would have left the restaurant. On our first trip to Lake Tahoe, we wanted something special and memorable. We were sorely disappointed in Lone Eagle Grill. The service was terrible- unfriendly and snooty. I think because we did not order any wine or liquor. The tab was over $250.00 including a generous but undeserved $40 tip. Never again!

What can I tell you? The food's good, but that's it. And it's expensive, but you're paying for the view. The view from the dining room is second-to-none. Heck, I bet a peanut butter sandwhich would taste fantastic with a multi-million dollar view... Please mark this review helpful!
