Olive Garden is a family of local restaurants focused on delighting every guest with a genuine Italian dining experience. Delicious Italian Specialities freshly-made daily to pair with a wide variety of Italian wines that will complement your meal. Olive Garden's Culinary Institute of Tuscany, located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy in a restored 11th century village, is where Olive Garden's chefs learn the secrets of great foods in Italy - like how to combine fresh ingredients - to create authentic Italian foods that you'll enjoy sharing with your family and friends.
Man, did this place become overpriced! Don't get me wrong, I think the food decent for a franchise. And of course their food probably comes frozen in order to keep things consistent. Actually, I am positive most of it comes frozen because I ordered a tiramisu once and it was rock hard in the center and had ice frosted on top. It's actually quite funny that the waiter even considered serving it to me. After it thawed, it was pretty good. Haha. My boyfriend and I rarely eat there now. Mostly because it's so expensive. You would think that the franchise could keep the prices rather low but it's quite the opposite. I always get spaghetti with meatballs and my boyfriend always orders the chicken scampi with extra chicken. We like to get the peach iced tea too, very good! We rarely order dessert and sometimes order some alfredo sauce for our breadsticks. Somehow the check is always around $50 not including the tip. This is with no appetizers, two entrees, sharing the occasional dessert and two drinks (not even alcoholic). I know there's inflation going on but wow! I can't imagine what's so expensive. Pasta is cheap, sauce is probably rather inexpensive too considering they mass produce that stuff. The portions are healthy, but you're definitely not going to get your moneys worth.
Ooh... stay away from the seafood dishes! They over-cook it all. Shrimp is chewy and the scallops are gross. They're tiny too. I've never seen scallops so small! I had the grilled salmon once and it was decent but a little dry.
The service is wonderful! It's always been wonderful! Dining in or getting take-out. They servers are always so helpful and friendly even though they're always slammed! Some of the best customer service out there!
Overall, the food is average and the prices are excessive but look on the bright side, they sure do have wonderful service! It almost makes you not feel as bad that you just got ripped off.
It showed how class-less Reno is when the Olive Garden was voted by locals as the best Italian food in the area. If you would like some Italian food that is actually worth the money, go some place better like Perinos
it is not spicy but tasty and tomatoey, always good service, salad is fresh and tasty, quick for lunch, about the only sit-down restaurant where 2 can eat lunch for less than $20 bucks and not just eat soup and salad
Anyone who thinks The Love Garden serves anything resembling Italian food needs a month in Italy.
This chain of restaurants is the most bland and innocuous.
No wonder Europeans looks down their noses at what the typical American eats.
Please people: try someting new and break the chain store habit.
I like that the servers are very kind and are good at their jobs. My favorite dish is the chicken alfredo. I like this resturant because it feels like home when I go in there. Everyone is real nice and considarate.
