Rooms are spacious, beds are new and comfy, TV's are flat screen monsters, the club is smaller but fun, lots of things for kids in the arcade, great food from Cassidys, and next to Cabelas - this place is a paradise.

One of the better family friendly Casinos. We've stayed here a few times already for free. We regularly got three free nights coupons in the mail! The room were ok--they were a little worn and needs updating. The kids love the indoor pool and amusement center. The fun center is packed with video games, putt-putt golf and rides. They particularly loved the carousel and virtual roller-coaster ride. We haven't tried the buffet yet but the food in the Sundance cafe was good! The resort is also a good home-base to Reno and of course, Cabelas next door. Overall, the casino is a fair place to stay and play.

Reno's casinos can not compete with local Indian casinos. Boomtown Lobster Buffet has been discontinued. Unless you are up there for gambling or special sport events, there are nothing to do in Reno.

My wife Jo and I have stayed many times at Boomtown.We have always been treated very well.We came the first time after passing it on the way to Reno many times.Once we came in and were surprized at the quality of everything and the Western theme,we were hooked.We have won more money at Boomtown than anywhere else.The Subdance Cantina is consistantly good food and service.Casidys is very good and also pricey.The Buffet was not good on the times we ate there,but they are trying to improve.The rooms are always clean and priced well.After you have their Club Card,the perks are just great,I wont devulge their perks,go and get yours including help with your gas fillups on site.Also try the truckers stop resturant--great food! We drive up from the Bay area and stay a couple of nightsSee ya'll there --Okie from WEEWOKA.

Worst lobster buffet. The old trucker facility had better food. Too bad that's gone. Was very disgusted with their lobster buffet. Marina Cafe at Western Village is way better overall. Was here at Boomtown 'bout 10 years ago. Ain't worth anybody's time. If some of y'all see my name on many reviews. It's 'cause I've been around. I'm just lettin' people out there know what places are good and what places suck.

The only place i know to give you complimentary rooms and also had compimentery coffee. The rooms were quiet and clean with plenty of towels and the service good and friendly

Stopped here last night 8/25/06 to eat some lobster,which was without a doubt,the worst lobster I have ever had.It was overcooked & water logged and completly tastless and tough.We could not even crack the shells they were so over done

Laid back kool casino and staff. The ceiling is low so it is hot and smokey compared to other casinos that have a high ceiling and better air conditioning. Yeah, I won 9000 ($450.00) there once, not too shabby.
