The Chinese Duck Restaurant appears to have been an old pizza place. Much of the pizza decor is still there, but that's the charm. The Duck is a typical no-frills, all-food chinese restaurant where the seats are hard, the service is fast, and the home-spun food is tasty. We 'found' the place while driving down Virginia to the Atlantis, and we have since returned twice. We like the thick and heavy noodle soups, and the chunky, pan-fried gyoza, as well as the dim-sum shrimp balls (who serves dim-sum in the late evening?). We also tasted the standard beef and broccoli, and the less standard, but popular spicy pepper and salted prawns, complete with sea-salted shells, heads, and antenna. We ordered and drank several hot sakes, as well. The Duck seems to have quite an eclectic menu, but it is nice to be able to order shrimps balls, noodle soup, and antenna all on the same night, in the same restaurant.
