ate here last sunday. food is ok, service is bad. my 10yr old kid was slapped with adult dinner fee. ordered 5 soda and a wa but my bill has 6 sodas on it. if you eat here, you need to be careful and check your bill.
I hate buffets and absolutely refuse to eat at them. I hadn't eaten at a buffet for twenty-five years until two months ago when I was invited to go to the King Buffet by my brother, and I reluctantly (and warily) agreed to go. To my surprise the King Buffet was simply amazing. It is extremely clean. The staff is courteous, friendly, and available to meet the customer's every need and request. The selection and quality of food is remarkable (at any price). Salmon filets (18+ inches long), butter shrimp, crab legs, clams, mussels, oysters, octopus, and every imaginable traditional Chinese entree. All of the food is freshly prepared and cooked. They even have Mongolian barbecue and an impressive selection of freshly made (while you watch) sushi and deserts. All you can eat and all for less than $9.00 per person (for dinner). I live out of the area so I am unable to be a regular customer, but I plan on eating at the King Buffet every time I am in Reno (e.g., last night and hopefully again tonight). The only complaint that I have is that it is not located near where I live in Cupertino, California.
The place is very popular among Chinese, can't imagine how many friends I bumped into including one college friend who i haven't seen for 10 years :-) The food is ok, got reasonable amount of selections. Price is cheap, $7 for lunch and $10 for dinner. Also got to mention that the place is big and the line is short.
As you've read above service in this place is terrible, it is really uncomfortable, food is cold and/or not replaced when it runs out. Would not recommend to anyone. There are many other chinnese buffets in the area worth to give 'em a try, but leave this one out.
We go to this buffet every so often....Its goes from great to not so good. Plates often not propery cleaned and temperature of food not always properly maintained. Staff is adaquate but not out going nor friendly usually. When the food is hot and the place is clean its ok for the money. Its not a place I would take out of town friends to if I intended to impress them.
The food was good and hot, but the service was not up to par. I grade service, at buffet places, on how soon they clear the dirty plates from the table and how soon they refill your drink. The first time I went there it was great, but the second and third time it was not a good experience. I will try it one more time, but if I have a bad experience again I will not return. Word of mouth is a POWERFUL thing.
