I am fed up with Chef Rubber. Their customer service sucks big time. Every time I go there, there s a very inexperienced person at the counter who doesn t know anything. She constantly has to ask another person about my questions. I don t understand why they would hire someone, who is the main person to help customers, that is so clueless. And the lack of staff is not the problem. There are always several people working there. Why can t any of them ever assist? They always seem busy working on their computers and have the nerve to peer up to see what s being discussed up front but not ever getting up to help. Out of all these people and none of them can even help this young helpless employee they hired? This is beyond frustrating. There is one person, supposedly a former chef or something, that she sometimes gets to assist, but she always qualifies it by saying she s busy. My reply to her is, well aren t customers a priority, and then she nervously goes to ask her to help. Jeez, sorry Chef Rubber to bother your employee to help me buy some of your products! They have a lot of good products, but this is beyond ridiculous and getting very old. Chef Rubber get your act together and make your customers a priority. Have all of your staff or at least some of them be knowledgeable enough to help the customer when they come in. It s not too much to ask of a business!!!!!!
Chef Rubber is my “go to” for SO many things! Flavor, colorants, sugar & chocolate work equipment and supplies, molds and forms, molecular gastronomy and my favorite……advice! If I’m in a pickle, and can’t figure something out, one of the staff at Chef Rubber can usually brain storm with me to find a solution. They are so VERY friendly and knowledgeable! I get my orders faster from Chef Rubber than any of my other vendors, and they are always accurate. I teach cake, sugar and chocolate classes all over the country, and I mention or refer my students to Chef Rubber numerous times in each class. I firmly believe that an artist is only as good as the products they use, and in edible art, quality is even MORE crucial because of it’s utilization of all 5 senses. If you want to improve the quality of your edible art, start using Chef Rubber’s products!
The ladies answering the phones were nice, however the person actually doing the sale was the WORST person I've EVER had to deal with. I had to call 6 times after I tried emailing once and never got a reply. Finally, I tried one last email and got a 1 page email back that made my jaw drop to the floor! I was courteous the entire time so I was SO surprised that she had the audacity to say what she did. I wouldn't purchase from this company ever again, even if it was my last resort. Stay away!
I came there yesterday to get some cake dummies and the staff were great! One of the best, kindest and most helpful people I've ever seen in retail. The two ladies I saw there were so nice!
Come here and you will definitely love it! Best customer service I've seen so far.
