China Grill, Las Vegas

It is one of the most amazing chinese restaurants I ve ever been to. Everyone should try it! We had a great time here.

Love the place I go every chance I get being a local. It was cool after hours back in the day so much fun! We always sit at the bar and dine there, the bartenders are always very outgoing and friendly. The ahi tuna with seaweed is always amazing as well as the flask fried spinach! The only thing I dont like is the faux wall they put up, it use to be much more open before.....

Service from the hostess stand was not so hot (waited 2-3x as long as they said it would be, and we had to remind her we were waiting). Unfortunately we were in a hurry so couldn't relax for the full experience, but our waiter was pretty good nonetheless, although I sensed he was a bit annoyed with us. The food was outstanding. We shared a couple dishes and a couple sides amongst 3 people and it was enough food - although the portions weren't quite as large as the waiter made it sound like. The marinated skirt steak was the best, incredibly flavorful.

Prepare to spend $60+ per person which is expected for a decent meal in Las Vegas nowadays. The quality is okay. Butterfish and lamb spare ribs are decent. You may get more value for your money if you order the small dishes and the sides. I felt a little bit pressured to buy more drinks.

This was our first stop on our Vegas trip last weekend. We had reservations at 11 PM. Our plane landed at 10 PM, so we opted for a more expensive limo so we wouldn't have to wait in the cab line and possibly miss our reservation. We arrived at China Grill right on time, only to find out they had closed the kitchen at 10:30. The hostess got the manager, who then told us our reservation had been cancelled. She couldn't tell us who cancelled, why no one had notified us, or why they would close the kitchen half an hour before their last reservation. The manager was unapologetic, made no effort to make up for their mistake other than to get us a table at Red Square. Bottom line... some of the most egregious customer service I've ever experienced.

It was delicious, every item brought to the table was to die for. Loved the wasabi mashed potatoes. Even the restroom was unique and I had remembered seeing it on the Travel Channel and got a kick out of the attendent with his goodies. We were a group of 4 and were stuffed after the first couple of dishes...but who could stop eating. The meal even included desert, yummy. And if you want a big drink to share try the Dragon something or other, it was toooo delicious. We had a great time.

Wow.....so disapointed. Food was horrible, I mean HORRIBLE. I was very upset after the dinner that I had to pay a lot for disgusting food. EWW.... I cannot believe that Mandalay Bay allows food like this. It was such a bad dinning experience.

I've been to all three China Grill restaurants (NYC, Miami, and Vegas). Whenever I visit one of these cities I dine at the China Grill nightly. The caesar salad is to die for... The wasabi mashed potatoes are awesome and the meat/lamb dishes are excellent. I just made reservations for my trip to Vegas next month. Yum! You have to try this place at least once. I don't care for asian cuisine much, but this asian fusion is incredible. At least go and try the caesar salad. Yes, it's expensive, but they serve huge portions family style so there is more than enough to share. A salad could feed a party of four.

We had a ahi tuna, duck something, fried brown rice as a side dish and wine for $180 (2 of us). The brown rice was the only plate l liked. It was $9 but l would have paid $40 for it. The 2 entrees were around $40 each but l would have put them at $9 for value. The asian girl at the front was unpleasant (to the management we went on 07/28/07 at 7pm), our waiter excellent, atmosphere was romantic. l left the place wishing we went to fleur de lys instead.

It is not a cheap restaurant but what you get is worth every penny!!! Beautiful Ambiance....wonderful place for a date, nice romantic setting. I went for my Brothers 50th Birthday Party, Every dish brought to the table tasted wonderful and the desert was wonderful...Love it! Will go back here everytime I visit Vegas!
