Less than three miles from the Strip, Toto's rewards foodies who take the extra miles for authenticity. Although nothing is fancy, the vibrant colors and sincere smiles make this family-run Mexican restaurant a cheerful place. Definitely start the meal with a refreshing margarita. The chips come with fresh-made salsa and an addicting blend of refried beans with jalapeno and cheese. Don't get greedy thoughthe entrees come in large portions so tasty that you really want to finish off the meal. Try Chicken Fajitas, Chef's Supreme Combo, or any seafood dish. And finally, some Deep Fried Ice Cream before you go. - Hoiyin Ip
Jeff, I guess you shouldn't have had that much tequila before you went, or you were at the wrong place. I took my family of seven for dinner there on our last vacation. The atmosphere was simple and pleasing. The staff was first rate. My wife fell in love with the queso dip that was served as we were seated. The portions were huge and the food was excellent. I was raised in the barrio of Milwaukee, WI, and have had authentic Mexican food for a majority of my life, and this rated right up there with some of the best I have had. My daughter in law could not join us, but was thrilled with the portions we set aside for her and sent home. She is about to graduate with her degree in the culinary arts from Le Cordon Bleu, and she thought the food was very good.
We plan on making Totos one of our regular stops whenever we are in Vegas, 2-4 times a year as our kids live there. And will become our place for Mexican when we relocate to Vegas in 2 years. By the way, a family of 7 left stuffed and happy for $100.00 including drinks and tip.
And finally, thanks to the staff at Totos for giving us a wonderful start to what turned out to be a great night and vacation. Corey
