The Mad Greek Cafe
Mad greek Cafe too daring, too crazy, to ethnic for the time but, based on our success, that opened the doors to explore and try to serve some food in a nontraditional way. we introduced to California (and maybe the word - even Greece) the original fried zucchini sticks, peel on natural fries, the natural desert water and the first to serve the famous qyro/pita/zaziki on the west coast.
I eat a Teddy's at least three times a month. I take clients there. Like going to eat at your favorite Greek friends home. Greek home style cooking. Authentic. Live music. I have even seen some plate breaking.
We loved the food, excellent salads and pasta dishes. And the desert was fabulous!!! The ambiance was very upbeat and fun, they had live music and belly dancing which was fun for the kids. Everyone was very nice, especially the owner.. The service was a little slow but I would definitely go back and recommend this place to everyone.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a local's restaurant with great food and Greek charm. The owner was interacting with the diners asking about their meals. A singer was entertaining us and taking requests. A fun experience! We will definitely be back.
