The Hotel is great and provides good services but if you want to make friends over the internet and to find the right girl/man that you are looking-for in New York, Boston, Las Vegas and all the other cities in the USA. You can find friends through this http://friendfinder.com/go/g1272781
Check in was relatively fast and the room was ready when we checked in about 1:30. Beds comfortable, clean room. Stayed in tower. Friendly, but very expensive to eat there. Many people commented about the meals being really expensive. Brfst Buffet is 18+ /person. I didn't eat the buffet for other meals but only this one time. Table games are $10 and up mostly but sometimes one or two will go to 5 in morning. Casino is confusing and you may have trouble finding the same machine twice. Only one elevator in main section and you may have to walk a long, long way to your room. Everything was comfortable. The hotel connects to the monorail but you have to walk a long distance to get there, I suggest the $12 fare that you can ride all day on and off. Room service was prompt for such a large hotel ,10 to 20 min. They allow everything to be charged to the room. They chg $10 resort fee/day and I didn't use anything to be charged this but it is mandatory.
I love staying at MGM Grand, Everyone there treats you good no matter If your a high roller or playing the penny slots. My First time there, I was blown away by how huge this hotel was and how nice it is. We went to Studio 54 for a night out and had a great time there. I'll Deff. go back there again.
I have to say I was nervous after reading some of these reviews that we would be staying there but it turned out great. The people that worked there that I had encountered were very nice and helpful. The pool(s) are amazing and that lazy river is the best if you have stayed at the Monte Carlo before this blows their lazy river away! Our room was very clean we stayed in the West Wing and really liked it. I could not figure out what some other reviewer was talking about when he said you enter through the bathroom. Well when you come in the first thing you see is the sink and vanity and then to the right was the shower and toilet but they are both behind frosted doors so you don’t see that when you come in by the way the shower there was so nice and the bed was wonderful too.
Yes the restaurants are a bit pricy. We thought the food over at Diego was good but too money for the Sampler platter and you really don’t get much at all. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill was real good great wood fire Pizza. Outside eatery by the pool food looked great but again kind of pricey but it seemed it’s just pricy to eat at the hotels so I won't hold that against the MGM. We got a great deal for our room if you sign up on their website they we send you deal alerts. We got a deal on the room and then we got 2 for one daily buffet passes so we did go to the buffet twice it was ok but I don’t think if we had to pay for both of us we wouldn’t have gone back a 2nd time it wouldn’t have been worth the money.
Overall we had a great time and we really liked the MGM and would go back for sure!

We stayed at MGM grand for a business trip. Our first day there the hotel tub backed up and toilet overflowed. On our last day there we left 4 piece of our luggage with the bellhop. We watched him bungy cord up all 4 of our bags together and we also had opened 2 pieces of our luggage in front of him to take some clothes out. In my bag was a dooney and bourke handbag, glasses, shoes, clothes, jewlery etc. My husband had opened 1 of his bags as well w/ 2 expensive men shoes in it etc. When we went to pick up our luggage these 2 bags out of our 4 bags we suddenly missing. They had no explanation for us. We waited over an hour for a manager to come down and talk to us. Who was horrible by the way no personality and did not even apologize for loosing our bags!!! Currently they say that they are investigating it. I'm demanding a full refund from the hotel of our $2000 of goods stolen from us by this hotel. The idiot at lost and found tried to tell me that the hotel has no surveillance cameras. OMG! In conclusion horrible stay and not a safe place to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was in Vegas on business and stayed at MGM Grand based on a recommendation from a colleague. I made reservations for myself and for two of my colleagues. We all checked in at the same time using our personal credit cards, yet somehow my card was charged for all three rooms which I did not know until I received my credit card statement a few weeks later. My receipt reflected the charges for my room only. I asked my colleagues if they were charged for their rooms and they checked their credit card statements and confirmed that they were. I sent all receipts along with copies of mine and my colleagues credit card statements to MGM and they could not explain how this happened and they refused to make it right.
The rooms were small and they charged for internet access in the room and also in the business center, so it cost me $15 to check my email. The buffet was way overpriced for the level of quality and service and the other resturaunts were crowded and expensivley priced as well. When I notified the front desk about a bunch of people yelling and screaming outside of my room at 3AM it took them more than 30 minutes to respond. I had and early flight the next morning which only added to my frustration level.
I believe I am beginning to understand what is wrong with Vegas and why they are losing so much money. Not all that long ago, Vegas used to set the standard for customer service and quality accomodations. Lodging and dining within the Casino resorts was always reasonably priced in years past, but today the room rates and dining costs are just as expensive as Hawaii or Europe. Lets face it, besides the lights and the gambling, Vegas has nothing else to offer but desert. I live in the midwest and if I want to gamble I can get in the car and drive to one of several different casinos all within 1-3 hours from where I live. Why would I go to Vegas if I didnt have to when for the same money I can go on a Hawaiian cruise or a trip to Italy?
the place is big and beautiful. everything you need under one roof. what i was upset with is, my room was dirty. who ever was there before me left a pair of walking sandals under the sofa. the sofa sat up high so i don't know anyone could of missed them if hey had ran the vacuum. there was hairs in the bathroom.yuk! trying to set a drink while u r playing slots was very hard.the big spenders at the cards tables had no problem getting drinks.the buffet was ok, if you can find fresh food.i didnt say anything while we was there, my husband would of had a bird, lol, so once i got home i tried to let them know, but i could not find a place to take a survey on there website(i guess they don't care).but over all i had a great time.
Me and my cousin stayed at MGM but in their Skylofts. I loved everything about, the service was wonderful and the Lofts were beautiful. I loved the view from where the Skylifts were.. I highly recommend it..
