The service was great until we got to the desert, then we had to wait over 30 minutes to be served. That is the good part! I will admit that I don't seem to like the same food as the general public, so maybe instead of taking this review to heart, you should probably ignore it, but here is what I thought of Roy's. The edeame (soy beans) were great, and I thought we were off to a great start. I ordered the 35.95 prix fix dinner, and we were fortunate to go on a night when we could chose whatever we wanted instead of the few choices that were offered. I got the pork rib appetizer. The portion was very large, but it was really salty. I was going to order the chicken as my main course, but the waitress sold me on the butterfish. It was flaky and well cooked, but very very very salty and very fishy. I dined with two other guests who also had the fish, and agreed that it was way too salty. For desert I had the Pineapple upside down cake, which needed to be ordered with my main meal, since it is cooked there. It would have been much better if it wasn't so sweet.
I was really disappointed, because this is a very high rated restaurant, so I expected more flavors than just salt. I am quite a foodie and enjoy layers of flavors on foods, but I found it to be quite lacking here. I really wish I could say that I liked it better.
