Le Village Buffet

Description

For those that are bored with the ordinary buffet fare, Le Village Buffet is truly a fine dining experience. Classic French foods are featured including dishes from five different provinces, such as Burgundy and Alsace. The chefs prepare crepes to order and if your mouth waters for seafood, you have come to the right place. Small but important touches, such as fresh berries for breakfast and real whipped cream for hot chocolate raise the bar for buffet food. This eatery is located at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel .

We came to Vegas late last March, 2011, and decided to try the Buffet @ Paris. We were in line waiting for a good 10min and from the look of it, it wasn't full at all, say less than half and I'm being generous. We got our table in an old French style rest w/ fake windows & stuffs. And we were the only couple there. Walking past the adjecent eating area, also empty. I believe the management on purpose to keep people waiting in line to create the illusion that it's a happening place. At Bellagio Buffet, as soon as we got to the front of the line, we get a table and it was packed w/ dinners.

Not quite as good as it was last year, a bit of a wait and the service was a little slow. Still, not bad for the price.

Love the French village decor, hate the lack of cleanliness and minimal if anny service. A bit surprised how negative the comments here are - I actually went because of good reviews in previous years' Zagats. Food wasn't the best, but it was pretty good for buffet food (I normally hate buffets).

Had breakfast - on the 24 hour pass. Selection was wonderful; food was okay. Server just couldn't seem to get her act together - and, at a little after 7:00 am, it wasn't that busy.

How this place scored so highly for food is beyond me. I made an exception from my "no buffet" rule based on the Zagat ratings, and what a disappointment., especially after the long line to get in. Scalloped potatoes tasted like they were out of the box, roast beef was tough, pasta was cold by the time you got back to your table (despite scorching hot serving spoons as a result of the heat lamps). Service was minimal and slow to clear plates.

Le Village Buffet

This buffet was very good. They had tons of choices, so there was something for everyone. The price was a little high. But, the food was outstanding.

Over-rated as a 23, but it was ok. Like the separate little rooms with quick wait staff. Went for breakfast/lunch. Lots of egg choices which was nice. Most items were just good, not great. Decent value for the price. Wynn is wayyyyyyyyy better.

Le Village Buffet is a place to experience the Vegas buffet!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/09
This is the only Vegas buffet I have been to so I dona(TM)t have much to reference this experience to. We came here because a friend wanted to experience a real Vegas buffet and this place was rated highly in the local tourist magazines. We went for dinner and this place is not cheap. Expect to pay $25 plus to get in. You can purchase a bottle of wine for twice its value if you'd like. I did this and even though it is not great wine, it was still nice to share with the smorgasbord of food you can eat. They have a seafood area where you can pile your plate high with crab legs and shrimp but we stuck to the turf meat options. Everything I had was great and, trust me, I tried almost everything there. The meat was fairly tender and well seasoned for buffet-style dining. The grilled vegetables, cheeses, and bread were excellent. Yes, it was expensive but I have definitely had way worse in the past for that price and did not leave nearly as stuffed. If buffets are your thing and you want quality, then bite the bullet and go. They also have a champagne brunch if you can get there early enough. Oh, FYI, ita(TM)s not entirely a French experience, they had a few things you'd dine on if you visited France, but don't expect this to be a suitable comparison. Seriously, it's a Vegas buffet.

This is the worst buffet I've ever been too. I had lunch here in June 2009 and was extremely disappointed. There was very little variety and what was provided was poor in quality. It doesn't cost much more to go elsewhere.
