Florida Cafe Cuban Bar & Grill, Las Vegas

Fantastic food, especially the pork....not your typical restaurant....might not appeal to everyone because Cuban food is very distinctive.

The wife and I came in one night not knowing they were closing in 20 minutes, after the waitress informed us that they would be closing soon we thought about leaving to somewhere else, but the owner came over to our table to reassure us not to worry and order away all we wanted. This is great hospitality and not to mention the food id authentic and great!!

I love cuban food, so I was excited to check this place out when we got to Vegas. Building is a little deceiving, but once inside it was quaint and nicely decorated. We were there for lunch and the food was very good, servings were huge. Staff was friendly and attentive. All round good experience. One of Vegas hidden treasures.

The Cubano Sandwich was VERY disappointing. It was just a grilled ham & cheese with dill pickle. There was no ROAST PORK at all, even though the menu spcified ROAST PORK in the discription. (There may have been a thin slice of turkey, hard to say since there was not much meat at all. You can make a better Cubano Sandwich using recipes from the internet that will be more authentic than the one at Floriday Cafe (which I have-and I'm not even cuban). I do have something good to say. The window shutters had the cutest fork and spoon handles. And, my husband LOVED the coffee. The bartender/waiter greated us with a ginuine smile. He was attentive and at the end, very apologitc about the way the sandwich was prepared. If you go there, try something elese. Or, asked how the Cubano is prepared. Maybe they just had a bad day? You be the judge, at you own risk and remember I told you so.

The food is overpriced and the waitress seems not to care about eficiency since is not that many Cuban places in town!They sell expired plantains! pay attention they are fast on charge people. Is a litter cheasy the decor, but what u go to do...

EXCELLENT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE. MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS. EVERYBODY AT THE CAFE ARE FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS GREET YOU WITH A SMILE.

While the location is far from ideal and the surroundings a bit shabby, the food is authentic and value priced. I'm not aware of any other cuban restaurant in town, so they don't have much competition!
