I used to work and live in the New Orleans area, where the taste of food takes on a flavor all its own. Not since dining at the Delmonico in New Orleans have I been so satisfied by a meal. I work in an Administrative Position for the Worlds Largest Corporation. I travel around 300 days a year, thus making Dining out a necessary evil. Delmonico turns this necessary evil to a sinful delight! My travels this year will take me to Las Vegas 5 more times and today I am working on getting reservations for each trip.
Although the food was very good, my overall experience at Lutece was very disappointing. Our server was slow and inattentive and even forgot to enter an entree that one of my guests ordered. When we complained to the manager about our service he became defensive and told us that we obviously didn't understand fine dining and service in Las Vegas! With the dozens of great restaurants in this town you could certainly make a better choice to spend your evening (and money).
The Venetian outlet of Lutece served up pretty good food, although not surprisingly not on par with New York. There was an extensive wine list to go through. But I didn't quite like the way the place was lit - there was something not quite to my liking.
Life has been revived at the NEW Lutece. The new Executive Chef (Keven Lee) is the most incredible chef I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying his food & Company...it's rare that the Chef will come out table side to see if we enjoyed the meal...and it was spectacular! Do yourself a [flavor] and make a reservation today...once the news hits the street that this awesome restaurant has been brought back to life it will be near impossible to get in!
If you're ever in Las Vegas - visit the Lutece. The moment you step in you're treated like a celebrity. They really pay attention to every details, and to you. The ambience is sophisticated, private, quiet and exclusive. I'm extremely impressed with their impeccable service. There are constantly waiters standing-by to take care of you.
I tried their sauteed foie gras with chocolate sauce - it was absolutely amazing. And their winelist is comprehesive too. The price is very expensive, easily over $60 per person.
