Description

Step out of the gondola and into the dining room. You will enjoy international cuisine in a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere. The dishes are tasty and the portions are extremely generous. Try the Peppered Ahi Tuna Steak in Wine Sauce and the nice selection of cognac and port, as well as specialty cocktails and coffees. Make sure order dessert since they have an excellent selection of cheesecakes. This fine eatery is located at the Venetian Hotel .

What a dismal awful place!!! Ate at the Palazzo for late night dinner. Took 20 minutes to take our order and no drinks either. Tables were un-bussed and place a mess. Ordered the Cheeseburger Melt which was cooked to the consistency of a hockey puck and the grilled onions no place in sight. Unattentive and uncaring service. You are better off at McDonald's. Certainly should not be part of the Palazzo Resort.

We had a great meal until the server mistakenly charged MORE THAN DOUBLE my bill. When I brought this to her attention, she snatched it out of my hand and disappeared, returning quite awhile later. While she was gone, I checked my bank account online, saw that two charges had gone through, and because she charged (in total) THREE TIMES the original bill, my account went into overdraft and I was charged a $40 overdraft fee. THE SERVER NEVER APOLOGIZED. I asked to speak with the manager, Dominic Padilla, who also never apologized. He LAUGHED. He repeatedly said that he couldn't do anything about it, and then slapped his business card on the table- NOT HELPFUL. I told him that he had better figure something out and I would wait until he did. So then Mr. Manager went and hid in the back of the restaurant, waiting for me to leave. Twenty minutes later, I asked the server to speak with Mr. Manager again. At this time, the server snatched the overcharged receipt and ripped it up in my face. Another twenty minutes later, Mr. Manager returned, smug and laughing, saying that there wasn't anything he would do and that I shouldn't waste my time waiting for him. He walked off, and I told him that I was disappointed in his behavior and that I felt he wasn't handling the situation appropriately. That's when he told me he was going to call casino security on me! He ran up to the front of the restaurant like a child and got on the phone. That's when I walked out and filed a report with casino security at the Palazzo. I think it is ridiculous that Dominic Padilla and his staff refuse to take responsibility for their negligence and failed to even offer an apology. Not only did they charge me for two bills (once for my actual $30 bill, and again for their initial negligent charge of nearly $70), I was charged an overdraft fee of $40 by my bank. Because of their negligence, I was charged $110 extra for a $30 meal and WAS NOT EVEN OFFERED AN APOLOGY. I am very disappointed in their (lack of) customer service. Dominic Padilla, the manager, was smug and incredibly rude. I can't believe that he and his staff would basically steal over $100 from me, and then threaten to call security. I am a local Clark County School District teacher just trying to enjoy a nice weekend meal with my boyfriend. Your restaurant charged stole over $100 from me, and then had the nerve to call security on ME?!?

Ate at Palazzo branch. Food was acceptable but did taste as though it was all cooked in a microwave. Service was terrible. We were seated quickly and the guy who took the order was great. However, he swapped and the new girl was useless. Starter plates were left, so were mains and dessert became almost impossible to eat for the dirty plates. When we asked for some help by two girls watching and chatting, were told that we werent their table...

If you have an accident at the Grand Lux Cafe, expect to be ignored, your accident report will be misfiled and you will be conveniently forgotten. The one desert I ate cost me hundreds of dollars because I had to pay for the damages it caused. Over New Years I stayed in a suite at the Las Vegas Venetian and visited the Grand Lux Cafe three times without incident. The last day I was there I persuaded a friend to try their crème brûlée and halfway through eating the desert, I bit down on some GLASS and got it stuck in my tooth. I managed to extract the chunk of glass from my molar (with difficulty) and spat out the shards of glass that filled my mouth. I called the waitress over and advised her that the soft creamy desert was filled with glass and she disappeared into the restaurant before allowing me to finish what I was saying. Eventually the manager, Pablo Cardona, came out and confirmed it was glass by rolling it between his fingers. Mr. Cardona asked me to fill out an accident form and then told me they would remove all the sugar in the area of the kitchen where the crème brûlée had been made. He also asked me to call the Hotel Reception during my stay if I had any emergency medical problem from having glass in my food (like a cut esophagus). Luckily I had managed to remove all the glass from my mouth before swallowing! After arriving home in California, I visited my dentist and sure enough I had damaged my tooth. I called Pablo Cardona and was told he was on vacation. I've been calling Pablo Cardona and Cheesecake Factory Risk Services for the last four months and they are always "in a meeting" and my calls go directly to voice-mail.

Amazing restaurant. This place lives up to the hype. I ate at the Palazzo branch for lunch which is not as busy. I ordered one of the daily specials, the mexican plate. The food was filling and very well prepared. The decor of the restaurant is incredible. Now I see why people wait in such long lines to get in here.

Nothing great, nothing bad...it's a carbon copy of Cheesecake Factory, so average food and HUGE rediculous portions.

If you like the Cheesecake factory you like the Grand Lux. Food is very good, and the service is acceptable. For what it is, usually a meal without pretention, it is a wonderful option.

Great value. Excellent hamburgers. Short rib and Shrimp Scampi combination is terrific. Meat extremely tender and tasty. Shrimp huge, garlicky and in a great sauce.
