Excellent was the word most used. The wait servers made 11 trips to our table and were excellent! Very knowledgable of the menu. The warm bread with a seasoned butter was first served. I ordered a glass of Woodward Caynon Merlot; good body and very smooth. My guest had a glass of Conundrum white wine; she said it was very good.
We both started off with the dinner salads, with avacado ranch sauce. Each had 2 strips of bacon, excellent. I had the 12 oz Fillet and it was excellent , just as I ordered it. Aged prime beef is almost impossible to beat. My guest had the 2 - 4 oz duo fillets, covered with seasoned grilled shrimp and scallions. Again, excellent and served as ordered.
I also ordered the baked potato, which was large and well served. My guest had the potato chateau, mashed, skin on and seasoned; outstanding. Either potato serving was enough for two people.
I have been to a Del Frisco, in another city before, so I know what to expect. And this one in Las Vegas did not disappoint me and my guest.
Excellent as I expected! Very good decor, business casual and our meal with tax and tip was about $105 each. Again excellent!
Excellent food for a good price, and very nice people! My wife also likes the ambience and the jelly beans, we'll be back! We got out of there with two entrees and 2 salads for $87, way worth every penny! See you again soon!
I'm not a cheapskate, but I found this place ridiculously expensive, and not exceptionally delicious. We were hoping it was up to III Forks-Dallas standards, but it was not at all. They send thank you cards afterwards, but for $100/person, they should save the stamp.
Since smoking is now prohibited in places that serve food - they no longer have a cigar bar - which was our favorite place to relax after dining. It looks like thery will be converting it into additional seating for the restaurant. This was the first restaurant that cooked my steak perfectly the first time. (Nearby Mortons has never gotten it right) The one man piano band is a great touch. I will definetly go again. Since there is no longer a Cigar bar - the waiter kindly pointed us in the direction of the Havana Cigar Bar - across Paradise in the same shopping center as Firefly.
Yahoo!'s categories for Del Frisco's are incorrect. The average entree (which includes no side dishes) is $30 to $50. Also, the ambience is business casual, not just casual. Fortunately, my wife and I got there quite early and there was not a crowd to frown at my shorts and t-shirt. ;)
That being said, Del Frisco's is a really, really good steak house. We had an appetizer of crab cakes and marinated shrimp. It was a great warm up for our steaks, which were wonderful cuts cooked exactly as we ordered. We also got a side of some sort of spinach that was really good too.
If you're willing to spend upwards of $50-$100 per person (with drinks, appetizers and sides), Del Frisco's is an excellent choice.
Speaking of drinks, Del Frisco's has a large wine list that should take care of any thirst for fruit of the vine. Finally, there is a room (more or less a bar) with monitors showing sports and well suited to enjoying a cigar.
