Wolfgang Puck's Postrio Bar & Grill introduces an exciting new concept and menu plus a stunning new look! Located at The Venetians Grand Canal Shoppes in St. Marks Square, Postrio presents a contemporary version of the classic bar and grill in a spectacular, new setting. The restaurant offers casual as well as sophisticated fine dining that can be enjoyed either as a relaxed, leisurely dining experience or as a comfortable, quick-bite. The new menu accentuates Pucks trademark standards for creating incomparable tastes and features soups, salads and small bites, wood-oven baked pizzas, handmade pastas, enticing entrees and meats and fish from the mesquite grill.
The food was ok. Me and 10 other friends went there this past weekend. Half of us got the lobster risotto and we all complained. Some thought it needed salt cause it was very bland while others thought the risotto wasn't cooked long enough and the lobster was spongy. The prices were ok. The ambiance was ok except maybe for the flying live pigeons in the hotel. The service was very good though. I ordered a cake for one of my friends birthdays and that was very good as well.
I was very disipointed in the service and the food. It was the worst food I have ever had. With the selection of fine resturants in the Venetian we definatly picked the wrong one! I have never wrote a review on anything before, but this was terrible! The spagettii had no flavor! Yes! One of the other reviews explained it best. Tomato soup with chunks of tomatos in it! Never even seen that color sause before? Almost orange!
The meat balls coulden't tell you what they were made of ? I do know they were not cooked. The lassana ? Never seen anything like it either? No meat, and much of anything else, but oil ? I do not know how they could even have a restarant in the Venetian? They should not try to cook Italian food! The best thing we had was the bread! I do Not recomend this restarant to anyone!
This is an inferior restaurant. It is way overpriced. Also, the menu given to us in the restaurant is not at all like the menu posted on the website. The pasta dish I had tasted like overcooked pasta with tomato soup. I should have known there would be problems since there was only one other couple in the restaurant.
My fiancé and I wanted to go to one good restaurant during our stay in Las Vegas, and due to Wolfgang Puck’s reputation, we decided to try the Postrio in the Venetian. The positives include: a creative menu, the pleasant atmosphere at the Venetian and the baguette that we were given before our meal. Everything after that was at or below average. When paying around $25 a plate, even in Vegas, I expect to get a good meal. The lobster sandwich that my fiancé ordered was toasted a little dark, and her potato chips were just average. I have paid $5 in Florida for a similar Po-boy . My wiener schnitzel and Austrian potato salad were bland and again average. The service was slow, uninspired and unfriendly. The tables did not have tablecloths, but a square piece of butcher paper placed down after each meal. We each ordered an iced tea, but no desert and our order came to over $80 with the tip for two. Our experience at the Postrio left us very disappointed, and we will not again visit the Wolfgang Puck franchises. If you are in Las Vegas, save your money, and eat at the nearby McDonalds or Chipotle restaurants for similar quality.
My wife and I had reservations for a nice Sunday night dinner at Postrio LV. When we arrived, we were seated instantly. The hostess took us to our beautiful table and there we waited... and waited... and waited. After 5 minutes, we finally got a menu and drink orders from the bus boy. However, after another 10 minutes had come and left, with no word from our waiter or waitress we got up and left. Pretty bad service when you don't get any.
I really liked the Postrio outlet at the Venetian. Like the original restaurant in San Francisco, the food was fun and excellent. The wine list had a wide range of selections and I was able to pick out a bottle of Pingus.
Definitely worth going.
The atmosphere at Postrio is wonderful! It reminds me of the insides of Salvador Dali's mind. The food was perfect and tasted great. Everyone on staff was fast, friendly and courteous. All courses arrived quickly and there was zero delay between them. All the prices were very affordable for this type of establishment. Those dining their are a mix of casual to formal. Four stars because of the noise level. It was not as quiet as I had hoped.
The ambiance at Postrio's is perfect for a small family. My daugter, son-in-law and grandson (15 months) were in Las Vegas to visit. We sat outdoors where we could watch the performances in St Mark's square. The food was fabulous, even the baby ate the potato salad! The best part was when Wolfgang Puck came to our table to meet us. Will remain on our list of places to eat.
