Battista's Hole in the Wall, Las Vegas

I'm a local and had people visiting from out of town and had wanted to try this place. After reading the bad and good reviews I decided to roll the dice and give the place a try. Great atmosphere, horrible food. The best part of the meal was the salad. Bread was tough. Wine was more like grape juice. The eggplant parm was full of seeds and the seafood pasta didn't look much better. They couldn't even make penne pasta with marinara right - my 1 year old spit it out immediately and looked at me like I was crazy for even suggesting he eat it. If you want old school Vegas Italian and want an off-Strip restaurant go to Chicago Joes near Fremont Street or Casa Di Amore on Tropicana. Avoid Battista's.

I agree with other reviews that said you're packed in like sardines. We've visited this place twice when visiting Vegas and we love that you get the red and/or white wines on the table with your meal, the entertainment is charming although be prepared to slip him a few bucks. Really not a family place, more of a date night type place but don't plan on sitting long, service is fast in fact so fast that we felt we were being rushed out the door.

You can not get any more authentic than this place. Just a block off the Strip, right behind the Flamingo, this little hole in the wall - literally is awesome. All you can drink house wine with your dinner. A wonderful meal. I can't even explain to you the amsiance of this place. It is incredible!! Then the homemade cappacino after dinner that is included! TOO GOOD FOR WORDS!! Wow, I think if you are looking for a nice place to take a date get aweosme italian food everything is homemade! This is the place! Enjoy the atmosphere! MAybe even the Accordian player will stop by your table and play a song or two! WOW he makes everything that much more worth going!

Battista's is my favorite part of Vegas! My boyfriend and I visited Battista's and both of us loved it. He loves everything about Las Vegas and I hate the city but both of us love Battista's! I am returning to Las Vegas next summer and the only reason I'm going back is to eat at Battista's.

My husband an I had our wedding reception here. The atmosphere, price, food was incredible. I could not have been more statisfied. Everything was included bread, wine, salad, entree and desert for a very reasonable price. The wait staff was very nice and the acordian player doted on us for our wedding we loved it and are planning to eat there agian for our three year anniversary this April. A must for small or large groups.

This place is fabulous. I recommend it to everyone. The food is great and the service is wonderful. You will have hardly sat down before wine is offered and your cappacino will be delivered moments after finishing you meal. I will not visit Vegas without going to Battista's!

The food and wait staff are wonderful, as is the atmosphere. It's not anywhere you can request songs on the accordion played by a genuine Italian. And who can pass up wine included with the price of your meal? Battista's has become a staple for our Vegas trips. Bypass the outrageous buffet lines and ask for Bruno.

Still the original and best.
