Vacationed in Vegas and wanted some Italian food off the strip. This place was cool. For one price you get unlimited house wine, soup or salad, bread, dinner and cappucino. I'm not sure why there are bad reviews... the portions were HUGE! I've never been served such a large piece of lasagna. The complaints about the wine are ridiculous...it's HOUSE wine so drink it for what it is, or simply don't drink it, it's not the best but not the worst either. Don't know why people complained about the bread because it was our favorite part....warm, soft, crusty and brushed in garlic butter. The food was good. So maybe it's not 5 star Italian cusine, but you go to this place for the history. Lots of celebrities have been here...hell Wolfgang Puck's pic is on the wall! The atmosphere is charming...dimly lit, walls cluttered with things. It reminds you of a place where the Mafia would hang out back in the late 70s. THE place to be back in its day and now it survives on the nostalgia and allure of a simple little hole in the wall serving up classic Italian food. Take it for what it is....it's not Olive Garden or any of that crap...this place has charm, history and you would be hard pressed to find as much food for the money... we happened to enjoy our visit to Battistas!
