Nobu Las Vegas

Description

Nobu Las Vegas is a two time Michelin Star awarded restaurant that combines traditional Japanese cuisine with South American influences to create modern and unique flavors. The dinning is family style. Signature dishes to satisfy any palate include the Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno; thinly sliced fresh yellowtail is set in citrus soy sauce accented with garlic and cilantro, the Marinated Black Cod is broiled and served with a sweet miso sauce, also the Alaskan King Crab Tempura with a tangy Amazu Ponzu sauce is complimented by shaved red onions, micro cilantro, and sliced serano pepper. Exotic offerings include Assorted New Style Sashimi topped with garlic, ginger, and sesame seeds then seared with a mixture of hot sesame and olive oils, slivers of Japanese Red Snapper with dry miso crumbles, scallions, and crispy garlic chip is set in yuzu juice and olive oil. The sushi is fresh as is all the seafood and most dishes will introduce a guest's taste buds to delirium.

Noisy, Pricey, Crowded... Who cares? Nubu is an awesome experience. Wonderful and exotic food served in a young atmosphere. By far, the best in town!!!

EAT HERE!

The food and service are both top notch. It is a bit loud, but a fun atmosphere. It is totally worth the price. Eat here next time you are in Vegas!

The Best Experience for sushi
By ,
I was a skeptic when a friend told me about nobu bc I disliked sushi and sashimi (from past experiences), but I was blown away by the flavors and the textures. I would recommend Nobu to anyone who knows great food. Dishes I had: yellowtail and jalepeno (the best), miso cod (lots of it), and rock shrimp (its ok).

mmmmmmsashimi

i agree with most of the other reviewers about the sound level but luckily we were seated at a table for two next to the bamboo room divider. the level of service from our waiter was impeccable. he was helpful, engaging, and honest about the pros and cons of the menu. we shared a large bottle of nigori sake and edamame – which was seasoned with this light and feathery-textured sea salt. yum. i was disappointed that they did not have spanish mackerel that night but i consoled myself with the sashimi dinner plate. the salmon was simply mouthwatering and the tuna was perfect as was the yellowtail, red snapper, ebi, white fish, mackerel, and squid. david ordered the spicy tuna and tempura shrimp rolls and an order of unagi. for dessert i had the banana “toban yaki” that had sliced bananas and strawberries simmering in calvados.

Fun experience! No privacy...
By ,
When we were seated I was disappointed that we were elbow to elbow with other couples on either side- no chance of a romantic dinner (or a private conversation for that matter). At one point the couple next to us leaned over to discuss one of our selections! The place is small and somewhat crowded. Although I frequent Japanese and Sushi restaurants this menu contained many things I had never had before. Most of the items are appetizer sized and quite pricey, considering the size (~$14-25). We chose items off the hot, cold and sushi sections. The yellowtail tartar was great, the lobster ceviche was not so. The tempura rock shrimp were excellent, just a bunch of fried shrimp on a plate (popcorn-shrimp size). We tried the house special (a rainbow roll) and Eel sushi. Both were good, but not my favorite rolls I'd ever had-actually kind of plain. For dessert the bento box, essentially a souffl with green tea ice cream- very good. The service was great. The food came quickly, and as soon as we were done with one items the next would come out. Our glasses were never empty. If only it was a little bigger and allowed for more intimacy- it would have made the experience much better.

As good as it gets
By ,
OK, Nobu has always gotten a tremendous amount of hype. And I've never eaten in the LA or NY restaurants, which I guess are the originals. The Vegas Nobu is in the Hard Rock and the fare and setting are both amazing. Lots of great sushi on the menu, also some tasty dishes that are more like fresh raw fish drizzled with ponzu and other tasty sauces. The cooked stuff (eg miso sea bass is great too). Plus tasty sake in fancy jugs. Definitely a great night out...

An experience
By ,
We each had the muli-course meal every time we have been there and it is simply spectacular. Each one of the 7 or 8 courses is different with some raw and some cooked. The arctic char with latin seasoning was a standout. Sushi was fresh and desert was among the finest I've had. It can be a little loud but food keeps me returning.
