Osaka Japanese Bistro
Osaka was Las Vegas' first Japanese restaurant established in 1967. Now with two locations, West Sahara and Green Valley, it has withstood the test of time and is currently operated by the second generation of the Nakanishi family. Osaka offers 3 different Japanese dining experiences in one building ac" the Sushi Bar, the Teppanyaki Grill, and the traditional Tatami Rooms. Authentic Japanese food prepared by Award winning Japanese chefs. Osaka recently was voted by Japanac2s largest weekly magazine, the Asahi Shukan, as one of the 50 best Japanese Restaurants. Osaka was the only Japanese Restaurant outside of Japan given this honor. Osaka is also a 9 time winner of the acoeBest of Las Vegasac Award cored by the readers of the Las Vegas Review Journal.
This is a great restaurant to take the family to. The variety of Japanese and sushi dishes is incredible. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. We will definitely return here the next time we visit the Las Vegas area.
Osaka is AMAZING! I'm here on a weekly basis, and crave it often. The coustomer service is great, and even if you've never eaten sushi they will make one especially for you. Definitely have to try it, i promise you will come back. I didn't like sushi before Osaka.
We have had dinner here a dozen times.... always terrific.
The tempura arrives at the table hot and delicious. The sashimi is always fresh and beautifully presented.
I have tried many Japanese restaurants in the
South County... I think this is clearly the best.
i've tried many sushi places in Vegas and out of town too. osaka has the taste & fresh selections down! they even offer some fish selections from japan. so if you really are the sushi lover you'll try this place--excellent!
We've visited this restaurant 3 times and ordered the same things. Each time it was presented totally different and the taste always varied as well as the portion. The servers are always rushed/the hostess are RUDE. We made the BIG mistake of making a reservation for New Year's Eve 2006. We have NEVER been treated as poorly as the hostess that night and the food was just mediorce....over $330 for 3 people. We have not been back and will never go back and advise anyone who likes good food and service to go elsewhere!
sIT AT THE BAR FOR SURE SO YOU CAN WATCH THEM MAKE UP YOUR FOOD AND EVERYONE ELSE. I CAN NOW MAKE IT MYSELF. THE STAFF WERE GREAT AND THE INSIDE WAS VERY RELAXING. WE STAYED FOR THREE HOUR. THEY HAVE GREAT SPEACIAL. A MUST ID THE LISA LISA AND THE WHITE TAIL. ITS A LONG DRIVE FROM ME BUT WELL WORTH IT. I IWILL NEVER GO TO ANTHER SUSHI BAR AGAIN!!!
Love SUSHI, but this was probably the worst fish I have ever tasted, and would not ever recommend this bistro to anyone, because I'm Japanese and actually know how authentic Japanese food tastes. Also, I think that the people who made this place have no idea what they are doing, and are definitely not Japanese. If I was you i would do myself a favor and just not go.... Plus the place has the worst stubborn attitude, which makes it seem like they don't even want your service:(
