Casa Blanca Restaurant, Ruidoso

In town for three days in Ruidoso NM Dec 17-20 and have eaten at Casa Blanca twice. Both times were exceptional. Service was good, staff was friendly, our waitress TJ was just great. Mostly tried new Mexico standards like Chille Relleno and Green Enchiladas. Love how spicy they were! Lots of restaurants try to be middle of the road and sometimes serve bland food to avoid "spicy" complaints, but not Casa Blanca - very authentic! Order something plain if you are not prepared to handle authentic flavored New Mexico specialties. We took home lots of leftovers and had them with eggs the next morning. Great place - highly recommend.

Horrible service. Went in on a slow night and had to wait 5 minutes for anyone to greet us. Finally got table, ordered a drink. 5 minutes later I was informed they didn't have the stuff to make a mixed drink that was on their menu. Ordered a different one and placed food order. Drink order was forgotten so it came out after meal was served. It was a margarita that had strawberry koolaid in it. Asked for water, waited ten minutes to get that. Watched 6 other tables come in and wait 5-10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge that they were there. What happened to this place??? I manage two local hotels and usually send all my customers to Casa Blanca. Never Again. Recommending Casa Blanca makes me look bad, so good news to Lucy's Mexicalli. I wonder if the Texas Club has gone down hill. Try to get in touch with management, but no luck. Is there even a manager??? The prices have gone way up and the service has gone way down. If management reads this, you should try and contact me.

Nothing special. Went hoping it would be yummy. Watered down margaritas and food was just so so. Try somewhere else.

New owners in the last year or so and you can tell! Manager "MOnique" was VERY RUDE! This place used to be dog freindly and had a back outside patio you could sit at with your best friend. It is now enclosed. I ASKED an employee if I could sit on the outside front patio and be served with my dog. She said yes. I was the only one out there and purposfully sat on the furthest seat from the front possible. My dog was outside of the porch area and tied to a post. MOnique came screaming out and yelled across the patio that I could not be there with my dog. Very Rude and unprofessional. I will never go back!

My boss and I read a great review on Casa Blanca so we stopped by on a business trip. I ignored the following service issues until my boss and I both ended up in the restroom with diarrhea. 1. I was cold where we were seated and I was wearing slacks and a button up shirt 2. The waiter made mistakes on both of our orders. My boss didn't want rice and got it and I was hungry as was given the lunch size portion without being asked what I wanted. 3. I love guacamole and asked for a side - at a cost of $5.00. I didn't see it on the menu for the entree I ordered and my waiter didn't tell me that I was wasting $5.00 because my order included guacamole. I wasn't all bad. The young male waiter was very friendly. However, he did everything else wrong. Oh, I'm Hispanic and they call the Green "Chili" Green "Sauce" and the Red "Chili" Red "Salsa." Come on. And the food lacks flavor. If you really enjoy good Mexican/Spanish food, skip this place. The only thing they have going for them is the "Atmosphere."

My daughter and I went to have a great lunch and was I wrong about this place! The service was slow and the food was not good at all. I have had better Mexican food at Taco Bell. I don't know what all the hype is about this place, but it was sure a disappointment.

I've eaten here several times over the years and last night was NO disappointment! I had the cheese enchiladas & chili relleno all with the spicy red sauce. This sauce is HOT, but worth it. I loved every bite! The enchilada child's plate was a hit with the 7-year-old - she said it was only a little spicy but really yummy and she'd love to go back. Husband says beef fajitas were only fair. Maybe he just ordered the wrong thing - of course, he's comparing them to MY fajitas. This was a Friday night on Thanksgiving weekend. We got there at 5:30 and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. The service was average.

Harbernero Steak poor taste. No senior menu price consideration. Ladies room dirty and paperless to dry hands. Too pricey for the . experience. I see demise. Carlos

Food was pretty good. But when it came time to pay we found a problem. My wife is on a diet and only ordered one cheese enchilada (no beans or rice),green sauce with onions. Price of one enchilada $4.00. But we are charged $8.00 because she added onions. Well who would guess that a few onions would cost $4.00. Well live and learn. Only three stars because of the onions.

We heard Casa Blanca is the "place to go" for good mexican food. these people are trippin! The Green chile enchiladas were OK, not much of a taste to them.Rice suuuckked! the water was good, hot sauce was real good and the staff was nice.
