The Old House Restaurant, Santa Fe

What a disappointment this last time we were there. The food was not wonderful although the service and decor are still fine.

The Old House is just what you'd expect. It is a good restaurant in a good hotel. The food is less inventive and the presentations are less impressive than at other restaurants in SF (for example Geronimo). The wine list is limited and relatively uninteresting, but remarkably priceworthy. It is also misleading (a generic burgundy was listed as a Nuits St. Georges). The service was pleasant but uninformed. Overall adequate, not much more.

The concierge recommended the restaurant but I was frankly put off by thename. On our third day in Santa Fe, having dined at Geronimo and Coyote Grill, the concierge insisted on a visit to the Old House. We cancelled our reservations for that evening and dined at the Old House. The food was excellent; the service was over the top; and the decor was upscale southwestern with beautiful original art. We loved it and would highly recommend it!

One of Santa Fe's most underrated restaurants.

Years ago this restaurant was "the" restaurant, today it's just ok. When last here, we had a 16 yr. old waiter and the table next to us was extremely loud. Management is lousy, food medium and service horrible.

We dined here while visiting Santa Fe this past year. It was great. They serve New Mexican fare at reasonable prices. The restaurant, as the name implies, is filled with old world charm.

Wonderful decor and setting for an in-hotel restaurant. Great bar and bartender. Knowledgeable staff and quiet setting. Appetizers intriguing and tasty, if pricy. Many entree items read as over-reaching cross-cultural fusion experiments, and unfortunately, ordering them results in discoveries of yuck-o combinations that should never have been thought up. Stick with Drinks, apps and dessert and you'll be fine and spend a lot less.

The Old House is COMING BACK!!! What an amazing dinner my family and friends had at The Old House for my 30th Birthday Party. The entire staff was so attentive to our every need. I expected the food to be outstanding but I was pleasently surprised. It was better than outstanding...it was perfect. The incredible staff and impecable food made our event as perfect as it could possibly be. Thanks to all involved in the preparation and completion of a beautiful evening.
