Bert's La Taqueria
Description
Bert's La Taqueria is a very popular joint for salsa fans (no, not the dance). This joint occupies a historic Adobe house in the Guadalupe district, which adds to its rustic feel and ambiance. The white-washed walls are adorned with a number of colorful paintings giving it a typical Mexican-joint feel. The menu has the usual Tacos, Enchiladas, etc. with a few unique addition,s such as Chapulines (Grasshoppers sauteed with garlic butter). So come down and try it, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent food! Very laid back dining experience in a really cool old building. Unusual food dishes available (unusual for an Okie). Don’t expect to be in and out like you are at a fast food or chain restaurant. They cook to order and do it right. Just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and conversations with your companions.
