Because of the 5 star reviews of this restaurant my wife and I had dinner there this evening and it was outstanding. Fortunately for us it happened to be a Monday night and a special menu was in place: a three course meal for $19.95. This special is also available on Sunday nights. I had the best sea bass entree that I've ever had. The soup or salad, I had an excellent sweet pea soup, my wife an excellent spinach salad. She had a crab cake caprese entree. My dessert was an excellent croissant bread pudding. Usually a fixed price menu has a limited selection of entrees, not the case at Dinner for Two, there were probably eight options and each one sounded very good. I would like to go back and try each one. This is the "Best Secret" in Santa Fe.

On the plus side, it's a fun, quirky place (think Tim Burton on one of his happy, not creepy days), serving upscale, but reasonably-priced food within walking distance of the Plaza. Lots of local ingredients, including some produce from the owners' own garden. On the other hand, the food here seems a little tired; nothing remotely bad, just somewhat dated. (And yes, it's fine go here with parties

We had driven past this restaurant many times during several visits to Santa Fe but had not visited it because its exterior suggested a low-brow Mexican restaurant and the name didn't attract us. This time, fortunately, we gave it a try. We're very glad we did. The chef and his parents run this friendly, welcoming, and pleasantly idiosyncratic spot. The menu is interesting and ever-changing, and bread baked there by the chef's father is super!

The food at Dinner for Two is consistently superlative. There are many ‘hit or miss’ restaurants in Santa Fe and this is not one of them. The atmosphere is elegant, yet cozy. The staff is always great and you know the owners really care about the place- obviously since they are always there. And, I recently had the BEST scallops, since moving to Santa Fe four years ago, at Dinner for Two.

The best restaurant in town with great atmosphere and excellent, excellent food. The innovative meals are something different and never disappointing for all tastes. I highly recommend eating here for anyone who enjoys a hearty and distinct meal, created by a talented family of chefs. A+.

Stumbled upon this little gem in the heart of one of Santa Fe's many restuarant districts. We almost felt as if we were in a very nice New York city eatery! It was an oasis in the high desert and we have gone back several times, always delightful! The management is very good, and the chef trained at a school on the eastern seaboard. Prices very decent and always the food is spectacular. I would recomend anyone to try it out!!!

Dinner for Two features table side prepared caesar salad. This caesar is by far the best in town and that is saying something for a restaurant in Santa Fe. This restauarant features fine dining, superb service, and a very friendly staff. The meals are innovative, and creatively presented for a very satisfying experience. The best time to go is during the holdiays when special dinner multi course menu's are prepared. My wife and I came away feeling both entertained and very well taken care of. This is truly a memorable place to enjoy a special celebration together.
