Description

There is no need to wander south of the border when one can enjoy great Mariachi music, great food and great margaritas in Albuquerque's own backyard. The menu, not surprisingly, offers a wide array of Mexican favorites ranging from sizzling fajitas to burritos the size of rolled up beach towels. For the indecisive the combination plate featuring tamales, tacos, rolled enchiladas, burritos and pasole is a fine choice. A children's menu makes it family friendly. Sunday brunch is very popular. Garduno's of Mexico opens at 11am daily.

Non-authentic food + steep prices + consistently poor service = Garduno's Restaurants. If you are in ABQ, find a different restaurant to try!

Never will eat here again!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/07
If you like mediorcre food, marginal service, inadequate management and bullies for patrons than this is the place to go. This was one of the worst dining experencies I have ever had. It ended in having to have the Police come out to retrieve personal property (jacket with car keys in pocket) because managment and staff said they had thrown it out in the trash. There are much better and more professional establishments in Albuquerque to eat at. If given the choice of eating here or eating at McDonalds I would rather eat at McDonalds!!!!

Yumm-Oh Taco Salads!
By Suzy T, 8/15/06
You can't beat the Taco Salad here. It is so big that you can't finish it. Good service and friendly wait staff. I would definitely return!

Excellent Sunday brunch!
By Sara, 11/14/05
We went to Garduno's Sunday brunch buffet today and were pleasantly surprised. For $9.95, one can choose from eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, huevos rancheros cooked to order, burritos, tamale pie, enchiladas, seafood, pasta, and desert. Ignoring my better judgement, I loaded my plate with red chile fish and rice with cilantro, shrimp fettucine (in my experience, eating seafood at a buffet is asking for food poisoning), green chile beef burritos, and tamale pie. Everything was wonderful!! Gardunos definately doesn't skimp on its buffets like other restaurants do. The entrees were high quality and fresh, and I feel like we got our money's worth. No doubt Garduno's is a tourist place--the chile is not as hardcore as it is at Sadie's or Padilla's (my personal favorite), but it's still very good. Garduno's would be my first recommendation to out-of-state visitors.

Nice Tourist Spot
By kw, 3/29/07
You can get some great Mexican food and good drinks at Garduno's. The atmosphere is very tourist appealing which is fun. They have nice lunch buffets and also a great menu. I particularly enjoy the margarita's, chips and salsa, and the carne asada burritos. You also get hot sopapillas with your meal which is great. It may not be too healthy, but the food is great as well as the atmosphere. The price is also reasonable. I recommend Gardunos to everyone.
