Garcia's restaurants has proudly served those with a taste for fresh, hand-prepared, New Mexican cuisine at a reasonable price since 1975. Brightly and festively decorated, each Garcia's location has an atmosphere that is unique to the neighborhood that it is serving. The personality of the owner, Andy Garcia, is also evident in every aspect of a Garcia's dining experience, from the bright paintings of himself, to the colorful Fiesta ware dishes, and of course to the great food. Our mission is to provide you with high-quality, moderately priced meals using only the best ingredients. We serve our meals in a friendly, capable, and efficient manner. It is our goal to make you fully satisfied with your dining experience at Garcia's. We hope you become one of our many loyal repeat customers.
I know they have good food especially the brisket tacos but the service is very slow. We waited nearly an hour for our food after ordering which by the way it took 20 minutes to get the complimentary chips and salsa and have our order taken. Everyone around us seemed to be waiting a very long time also.
The last two times we (my office staff) have been there, the girls at the registers, both walk in and drive through, have been extremely rude and argumentative. Simple mistakes that could have been easily fixed became a huge issue with these 2 girls. Example: Ordering Rice water and got Ice water, we asked to please take the Ice water back and give us Rice water. The girl got defensive and said you got Ice water cause thats what you ordered! So we calmly replied to please take water back and give us Rice water. She proceeded with shutting the drive through window while we were still talking and took her time to only come back and tell us they were out of rice water! Needless to say nobody at this office will ever go to this Garcias. Unless they hire educated and respectful cashiers, the food is great but the customer service leaves a sour after taste.
We actually eat at this, and many of the other Garcia's locations often. They have lots of great food. The beef & bean burritos or stuffed sopapillas with red chile are good. One of my favorites is the Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas. But I almost always end up getting the Chicken Taco plate. They are the best ever. The only complaint I have about this location is that they do mess up my order more than they probably should. It's nothing major, I just usually order my plates with double beans instead of rice. Quite often I get the reverse. But at least when I have the chance to take it back, they are always really great about replacing it. They often give me free biscochitos for the trouble, also!
