My spouse and I love Greek food. Today I tried Olympia for lunch to go at 2:00pm, 6/23/09. It was so awful that I had to throw it out. The Greek salad was made with old lettuce and tasted musty and limp--could not stomach it--disgusting. It was swimming in bad oily dressing. The gyro meat was mediocre. The so called Greek potatoes had been peeled and let sit prior to being cooked. Consequently, they'd turned black and been cooked anyway. The attempt to cover this up with watery broth was unsuccessful. These were not good Greek potatoes, anyway. They had no flavor and were mushed together, not baked in a good chicken broth with tart lemon and herby oregano flavors so they stand indivually and can picked up with your fingers. The galatorburaco (sorry can't spell this) was hard, cold and the filo was wet and soggy--absolutely awful. The Greek lemon soup was bland, at best. But at least it was etable so we didn't have to drive 15 minutes to return the mess. We were starving. The entire meal for 2 cost $35! Not inexpensive and all but the soup went in the trash. Absolutely awful all 'round. And, to top it off the packaging was so sloppy that sticky dessert juices and potatoe mush mess was on the outside of the containers and left the bag ruining a good shirt of mine. I'd rather eat blacken rat in Africa than eat here. Expensive, bad food. Avoid it.
