The best NEW MEXICAN food in Alb. Ive been going to Barelas for over 20 years (im 26), It is my absolute favorite restaurant. Service is great, if your a regular everyone knows your name. I HAVE to eat there at least once a week!!
The very best tacos I have ever had. The wait staff is friendly and the restaurant is easy to get to from the airport. On the down side is that parking can be a problem during lunch.
Never the less, Barelas Coffee House is the best of what Albuquerque has to offer
Definitely not a MEXICAN restaurant. Barelas Coffee House serves up some of the best NEW MEXICAN food around. They serve what Mexican food evolved in to over the years. Love it, love it. The Chicharones are my favorite.
I have been going to Barelas Coffee House for over 7 years now and I love it. They have wonderful food, filling and delicious. Very good prices. Two people can generally eat for under $20!! Thats a steal! If you want some good, down home New Mexican food, then go to Barelas Coffee House!!! I'll see you there!!
This restaurant is always packed. I like their food and service. You might need to wait for a few minutes to be seated. Do not confuse this restaurant with Mexican food, please... most of the plates offered in their menu have the New Mexican touch, Green or Red Chilli!
This is such a great little place...you see everyone here...construction workers, businessmen in suits, families, office workers, and the food is great. Its been in business for years and just keeps getting better and bigger...quaint little place.
