On our first trip to Sedona our friends reccomended their favorite restaurant El Rincon. The ambiance was comfortable and welcoming. The service from the staff was exceptional. We thought the shrimp enchilada with green chili sauce was fabulous. The mexican pizza and unique chimichangas were awesome! Even my kids loved the rice. Everything was great! Some members of my family have food allergies. Because all the food is prepared from scratch, the cooks and servers were able to create and prepare their dishes just for them. The prickly pear margaritas are the best! We can't wait until our next trip to Sedona! Our first stop will be Tlaquepaque and El Rincon!
I could not have been less pleased with the welcome my family and friends received upon our visit to this restaurant. Apparently we committed the cardinal sin of not having a reservation even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We were very pleasant and asked if any seating was available. We were told that it would be no problem even though an older woman with short gray hair seemed to have an issue. After being seated, we continued to receive attitude, especially from the older gray haired woman. We opted to leave after ordering drinks. For a business that is reliant upon the good will of its customers, this one seems not to give two hoots! We took our $125 worth of business to the competition. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant and I will be telling my many friends who live in the area about my experience.
What kind of restaurant serves WHITE GUACAMOLE? Ok, it was pale mint green, but it was almost white.
This place serves very low quality ingredient food.
It's Taco Bell with seating and cranky servers.
However, their margaritas were good and only slightly overpriced.
Several years ago my Husband and I ate at El Rincon and were pleased with the food and therefore, we made another stop with family members. The service was good and friendly as our previous visit. The 5 of us ordered different dishes and each of us found the food to be bland and tasteless except for the rice that accompanied the dishes. The beans were watery and with no substance of taste that would have identified them as the wonderful refried beans we had come to love. The meat in the dishes were equally bland and some of the chips for the salsa and quacamole were stale. Overall, all 5 of us found the food to be the worst we had eaten during our stay in Sedona. I will not recommend El Rincon to anyone..
My husband and I stopped in because the restaurant looked so charming from the outside. The server told us the specials for the evening (typical Mexican entrees) and we each decided to try one. The food was average; however, we were quite surprised to see our bill. The price of each of the specials was double the price of any other entree on the menu! We left with the impression that they are out to make money off tourists who are passing through town and will not be repeat customers. If you go, be sure to get prices up front!
Had lunch at this place. It is the worse Mexican food that I have ever tasted. The rice and beans were horrible! I do not recommend this place to anyone. Heck I could not even rate this place. Sorry, but this is the truth.
