There was no option for zero stars, so I had to give this restaurant one star -- what a horrible experience for our family! I read several other bad reviews about this restaurant, and in particular, about the owner -- Marc Battistini. One reviewer noted that he was drinking at the bar and yelling loudly about his employees -- very unprofessional! The food was not cooked to order, had to return 2 steaks, twice, and still raw. Third steak had long splintered piece of wood in it. Owner went completely beserk when we asked to have those meals removed from bill, yelling at us, insulting us, calling us names, going table to table telling other guests that WE were crazy! Followed us out and attempted to physically put his hand on a female guest in our party. We should have called the police, but Marc Battistini, the owner was extremely violent and we were afraid for our safety, so we just left.

We have eaten at the Sedona Airport restaurant for 15 years, a favorite for service and food. Two weeks ago on our annual Sedona trip, we found out the old restaurant was torn down and a new one built. BAD IDEA. 1. The prices are very high. 2. The service is deplorable. 3. The food preparation is not acceptable. My wife and I ordered the half chicken. It was slightly larger than a capon. Apparently they cooked it the day before and refrigerated it, then nuked it in the microwave, cause parts of it was warm but the inside was COLD. And we had to wait about 22 minutes to be served, and we nearly froze being seated by the door and everyone coming in let the cold wind blow on us. They do not know a thing about greeting senior citizens or respecting elderly people. Our 17 years of eating at the airport every summer now have come to an end. We will NEVER eat there again, and every summer we come to Sedona from Tucson, we will let everyone we meet know to not go up to the airport to eat. We found a most quaint beautiful diner downtown Sedona and had a chat with them, and they said all the locals as well are upset by the new takeover and new restaurant, but that is ok cause all the people come downtown now to eat instead. GO FLY AWAY new airport restaurant. Hope you lose so much business you have to fold up and get new management.

I am a local, Thursday night all-you-can-eat crab legs for 16 bucks. Make a reservation a week in advance before 6:30 pm (they run out quick). If they are out of crab legs when you get there, run away. Don't walk, run because the rest of the food is beyond terrible. Service is like George Thorougood, bbbbbbad.

Have eaten here many times over the years. The service and food are usually very good. Have I had a so-so meal or service? Yes, but that also happens every place. We were once asked if we would change tables so a larger party could fit in. We asked for nothing and expected nothing, they wrote off 1/2 the bill. That is the way they treat people.

Great place to eat. We ordered one of their specials and it was that. The drinks were very good. Actually tasted like they should not watered down. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere was fun. We watched a rabbit family hopping around outside the window where we sat. The place was very busy but it didn't hamper the service. After dinner, we went to the overlook at Airport Mesa and watched the sunset with lots of other folks. It was cold but worth the effort. Would definitely return. If you visit Sedona, don't miss this.

The Sedona Airport restaurant is one of our favorite family places to eat when we are in Sedona. We were first introduced to the place from a Jeep tour guide in 2004. Our first experience was fantastic with the Thursday night King & Snow all you can eat. Then in 2005 our group grew in size for vacation and we had another great meal on Thursday crab night. A matter of fact we had such a great time we came back that same week for the tempura shrimp night. Food service is always an A-plus. In 2007 we came back to our favorite vacation spot in the US and once again The Sedona Airport Restaurant was proven to be still first class. If your looking a great family place to eat with casual attire great views and a staff that makes you feel welcome then this is the place. Make your reservations ahead of time because the place fills up very quickly. Sedona vacationers do not past this place up when you here for vacation or just passing by.

I had lunch there around 2 July 2007. Waited several minutes while hostess was complaining to someone on the phone about patio seating. Person who served water looked like he got out of a Mexican prison, his apron was ripped. He spilled water on me while pouring. I said we'll start with water to drink, but he never came back asking if we wanted soda or anything. Waitress was friendly. I had the cajun ceasar salad that was just allright. My company had a burgerr--same appeal. It seemed to take a while to get the food. Next table was complaing about poor service and apple pie desert that was too tart. View is good, but there are better views at many other restaurants. It is kind of fun watching planes take off and land, however. I went on the recommendation of a friend, but won't come back. The area 1/2 way up, and at the top of the drive to the airport/restaurant are worth going to, but not really worth stopping in for food.

Brown salad, half defrosted lasagna, not clean, lousy service. I would have thrown that lettuce out if it were my frig. Where was management? It does have a nice view but only go for drinks.
