Description

Regularly voted Sedona's best restaurant, this romantic, casual restaurant serves some of the area's finest gourmet. At lunch, the "Duets" are a great way to experience several menu items. They are priced from USD9-12 and include a choice of soup & grilled vegetables, Caesar salad & pizza, or warm red cabbage salad & half pasta. Dinner specialties include Pecan-crusted local trout with Dijon cream sauce and roast duck with a dried cherry relish.

This is one of our favorite local restaurants - both for lunch (@ the deli next door) or for dinner any day of the week. Parking can be tough - as the lot is small and the place is often packed - but that might be the only downfall. Lunch @ the deli is incredible - Chicken Salad on a croissant is my favorite - made with real chunks of baked chicken, cherries, walnuts, etc. Damn - I'm getting hungry just explaining it! Also good on the lunch menu is the Kobe burger and Chicken Wrap. The main restaurant often changes it's sides and main offerings - they keep the menu small - but everything on it is fantastic. Never had a bad meal at this place in the 12 years we've been here. They even catered our wedding 8 years ago and regularly cater private parties - they're affordable and TASTY!!!

stopped in to eat at this restaurant based on asking a couple of locals recommendations. i guess they knew what they were talking about. the restaurant is great looking and has seating in gardens pointing you at a breathtaking red rock mountain. their menu is extensive with many creative selections. wine menu also impressive. service was spot on. once the sun went down it becan to get chilly, but no sooner that i mentioned this to our server, like magic it became comfortable. apparently, they have special outside heating. my wife and i liked this place so much we went back a few days later enjoying the same result. hats off to the heartline for a job well done.

As a 6 year local, I can tell you the Heartline is the best by far. They had a major fire last year and re-opened in early 2010. It took a few months for them to get back into the swing of things, but they are back on a roll. My wife and I have been there a few dozen times and have only had one mediocre meal, and it was just after re-opening. We have been back twice since then and they are back to excellent. I have no ties to these people, just want to send other people to the best restaurant in town, (and I am VERY picky.)

Felt like we were on an assembly line- move 'em in and out as quickly as possible. Food very boring. Noisy.

Great coffee
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/10/08
Coffee and deserts, after our lunch in Japanese restaurant, it was just what we needed. I had some fruity desserts and topped off with chocolate. It is the best I've eaten in a last month.

We got a gift certificate for there but I'll never go back
By From Sedona, AZ, 7/13/07
Being a local now in Sedona I would say to you it's just okay, but I would never go back. We got a gift certificate for the Heartline and used it first for lunch. Which by the way was okay but the portions were small and yet pricey. We still had a balance on the gift certificate so decided to go back for dinner and just use it up completely. My husband ordered a pasta and when the waiter came by to ask how it was I said could you have put any less pasta (kidding ofcourse) The portions are not big, the food is just okay and we have not been back since and have no desire to go back.

Five stars is not enough.
By Allison, 6/3/06
I wish every time I went to eat it was as excellent as the Heartline. No question the food was great. The service was excellent and classy. Not trying to be stuffy or snooty but actually classy. We went on a recommendation from our hotel bell service. It was a crowded Saturday night yet I never had to think about weather my cup was empty. Our appetizer, salad and meal were suberbly timed. I don't agree that the portions were small. If you want your plate stuffed try the diner up the street. By the time my husband finished an appetizer, main course and dessert we were plenty full. The price point is at the higher end. So expect to spend some cash. A real treat. I'll go every time I'm in Sedona. I do recommend making reservations.

Great place for lunch
By Jackie O., 3/11/06
My sis & I ate here for lunch because the dinner menu was out of our price range. Lunch was wonderful! We got there at 2pm and received exceptional service but I think that was helped by the fact that only 3 other tables were filled. I had the Kobe beef burger with Portobello mushroom & pepper jack cheese. It was fantastic! The beef was juicy but not greasy at all. It was so big I had to eat it with a fork and knife! The sweet potato chips were good too but nothing to rave about. My sister had the sweet potato soup and it was outstanding! I don
